Which pistol primers for self defense loads?

 That's just priceless! Now I've got coffee down my shirt.

Which pistol primers for self defense loads?

When I started handloading, my only handguns were a Hi Power (9mm) and a GP100 (.357). Never had an issue with primers, even when I tried Small Rifle military primers. I thought this was a silly topic. More handguns in the mix, and I don't feel the same. Now I have boxes of 9mm stashed away...

      Street Robberies and You

It's really funny - As soon as I realized that I didn't need to turn the other cheek, I also stopped getting slapped in the face!

      Street Robberies and You

When I was a teen learning martial arts my dad said "... didn't Jesus teach us we should turn the other check? I just don't get why you're so serious about learning to fight." I replied "If the other guy is 240 lbs, and can crush me like a soda can, I don't think I get bonus points for...

Gun Ownership by State 2023 Statistics

I applaud the effort, but they should have gotten a different staffer to compile or present the info. Even if you want to use statistics to be dishonest, you still need to make sense and be consistent. It didn't take to long for credibility to crumble, and I wanted this to be good info...

My son absolutely blew my mind…

Good for him! When I was about that age, it was 30 minutes - flight time of an ICBM. Got me thinking about all the things that could get one dead quicker. Made me think hard the state of my soul, and not messing it up in the moment thinking I would "fix it later". Certainly put my priorities...

      Vickers charged...

Well... Don't that just change my attitude. Amazing what a little sunshine can do. Thanks for drawing the curtain on that.

      Street Robberies and You

Acknowledging the 'unspoken' part of human nature is really the first step to good self-defense. Ignore it at your peril. We train children from the start that even thinking of violence as a response or method is abnormal and WRONG. Wrong maybe, but it's not abnormal at all. It gets easier...

      Security Cameras

I'd be interested in our experience with Ubiquiti cameras :) I'm using a number of their AP's now, and loved some of the building to building stuff I used years ago. I've got a couple "Dream Machine Pro's" sitting around getting old, and a few other gateway devices that I wanted to love, but...

      Security Cameras

The firewalls are just fine, and configured to the needs/wants of each client. The options are granular and scalable for a reason. (Some want the reporting. Some don't. Some do, and then ignore them once the novelty wears off). Agreed! You can also focus on only the best case and shinny...

      Security Cameras

If I understood the OP, I think your instinct is telling you there is more to this than "What cameras do I buy, and where do I put them?" I've seen A LOT of people/organizations jump to implement a technology 'solution' without really asking the important questions: What are the objectives...

It almost turned south real fast.

Funny how that works! Most bad guys aren't looking for an opponent, they're looking for a victim! When you look like the former, they're not interested any more. :)

It almost turned south real fast.

Congratulations on successfully both preparing for, and avoiding, a bad situation, as well as reflecting on it after. Sincerely. This may seem wrong to many, but these encounters (once in a while, and when they don't cross over to contact) can be very good for you - even save your life the...

New BATF ruling on stabilizing braces today

Amen...Well said...Truth! It sounds like we've got Very similar experiences. I can't tell you how many times I was told "Yes, you're right, that's exactly what the law says, and what it means - but the Judge is NEVER going to do that." (even when the law read "shall", and it should have been...

Rep. Jamaal Bowman Pulls Fire Alarm to Stop Vote

So... his excuse for pulling (or pushing in then pulling down) the fire alarm, is that he was trying to open the door... ... The door with the giant sign 'EMERGENCT EXIT ONLY' ... and double signs with instructions for opening the door, that he HAD to see if he was, in fact, trying to open the...

      Finally Science Confirms. . .

Just relaying what always happens to my friend when he's getting burned out: a. Everyone tells him he should spend some time for himself, doing something he really enjoys. b. He finally starts making time for something he always loved doing, like fishing c. Wife says that if fishing is really...

Self-Defense Bill (HB 1284) Set for Hearing on Jan. 28

Thank you for posting the above. It is one thing to know what the law says. It's a COMPLETELY different thing to know that the law is followed by the courts! The one thing that would've made this outcome better, would be if the attorneys for the plaintiff were required to help with the...

BREAKING: Tucker Carlson OUT at Fox News

Well, they have an upcoming election to rig, and loud sarcastic voices with large audiences get in the way. If Brandon is bent on taking another lap, the crews need to stack everything they can in their favor. ...AND all of the above.

BREAKING: Tucker Carlson OUT at Fox News

Precisely! The "customer" is wherever the money comes from. The viewers Never directly paid NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. for over-the-air broadcast news, and they were Never the customer. Viewers were the commodity the networks had to attract/entertain in order to please the real customers. Now, more...
