      KUSA, Tango Uniform?

Buzz is that KUSA is Bolshoi Mertvets (Big Dead). Anyone hearing same rumors? No confirmation that I can find yet.

      Understanding LPVO Distinctions

Posted an earlier thread about red dots by my friends Ian and Mike. Here they are discussing LPVOs. An important discussion for those milling through the enormous field of options that we have. What controls? QC and the scrap pile.

      New Carry Jacket, Late Winter/Spring/Fall?

Time to retire the current garments (a green Columbia and a dark blue Red Head). What does INGO recommend for a carry jacket for 25-50F weather, maybe rain. 6'1", long waisted, usually wear a Tall, flowing hair, really rock staresque, dress Tactical Chamber of Commerce, never jeans, Dockers...

      Birthday Pistol for Nephew #4?

Number 4 has just graduated his AA program (electrician like 2 of his brothers) and is to turn 21 later this year. "Get me anyting": #1 got a SA TPR 1911 "I want a revolver": #2 got 2 Smith revolvers, 19 and a 17 "Make it random, Uncle Kirk": #3 (I rolled dinner dice) got tricked out Ruger...

      Hammerli Force B1 rimfire?

Anyone shot one yet? Thought I was set on rimfires but this makes me itch. Thoughts? Hammerli (Walther now) Force B1 is toggle, switch caliber (.22lr and .22 mag) that takes Ruger 10/22 mags and prices at 6.5 bills (pre-keystoning, likely less for us).

Selecting the Right Red Dot/Optic, for you

We are nearing the commodification of high tier optics, a la the AR-15, in the vase ocean of optic choices. Asking the right questions is paramount for narrowing the scope of what optic one should purchase. Do you, a Middle Management Dad, need a Comp5? Can you afford a Comp5 for your P and...

      Plaintiffs Needed, Tippecanoe County

As I have stopped an outside commitment that I had recently, I now have my head above water to remove a thorn from my county's side--the illegal metal detectors at the County Annex building. I am looking for law-abiding, License to Carry having, Tippecanoe County residents to join me in a suit...

      MunitionWorks JOE/Dissent Mk2

A semi-custom maker that I have followed since inception is MunitionWorks (formerly MilitiaWorks) in Wisconsin. I have a JOE and an upper and am considering a Dissent when I discovered that a Mk2 version of both is now available. I like the idea of makers that know what needs to be on an AR so...

H&R M653 Clones Are Out, Thoughts?

Arising from the ashes Harrington & Richardson was purchased by JJE from the Remington bankruptcy is is back to cranking out guns. PSA/HR has now released the M653 clone with Mike from NoDak Spud (NDS now part of the JJE Empire) running the project. I have no need for this, as of the large...

      Horrific Incident, Georgia

Just received word that a friend's son had a fatal ND with his duty weapon in Georgia. Came home, withdrew magazine, left round in chamber, pointed gun at his own head and pulled trigger to show wife it was "clear". Why people feel the necessity to point guns at themselves (coonfingering or...

      PRP Treatment Anyone?

I have been having mobility problems since Labor Day weekend. I wish I had a cool story but I slept on my side wrong and impacted my ability to walk and my right arm (large bruise where my Charlie Brown head was). Prior piriformis syndrome, likely falling in helicopter years ago (training...

      Horn Problems?

Got the truck tuned up and new shoes on it, however it needs a spring assembly for the horn. It was $700. Got great deal on tune up and tires but this seems (don't know) excessive when I look on-line. Any other ways to get this fixed? Don't like riding dirty even if I never use the horn. TIA.

Caracal is not just Chris Sirois and strange Glock knock offs--this year's ADIHEX features snazzy Merkel hunting rifles from Caracal with UAE motiffs and glitter pistols. . Expanding the SKUs can be a sign of solid growth. Check out the ADIHEX website, looks like a blast. https://adihex.com/...

      Serbia Halts Exports/ZA Impact

As Serbia spins up for another potential war in the Balkans (what? A war in the Balkans? How long has that been going on?), arms exports are halted. ZA USA announces that it is Not Sure what impact this will have on them. Good bye COTS AKs. "Muh gon." ***JJE Vice President steeples in...

      AK Specialist Smith?

Maybe 1996 I bought 3 SLR-95s. Still have one with canted front sight (front post nearly maxed to left). It is on at 50M. Was just going to drop dot ( having problems with iron sights now) but want to fix this. It itches. Who to do this? (SLR-95 bottom)

Tippecanoe County Annex, 111 N. 4th Street, Lafayette

Today I walked a document over to the Prosecuting Attorney here in Lafayette at 111 North 4th Street (cattycorner from my office). Upon arrival I was told that the building was closed because of "staffing issues" and no one could run the metal detectors. Obviously we should not have metal...

      UAR-10 in Ukrainian War

UAR-10 (Ukrainian copy of AR-10 pattern) in Ukraine. On gun boards there is always the nonsense how everyone likes AKs better or how AR pattern weapons are "jamomatics", but it is always nonsense. Interesting video from BFBS (Forces, think UK's military broadcasting)
