Do you know who he talked to and got that answer? If the handguard has the cutouts for sights, I have never seen one leave the factory without them. Not saying it is impossible, but I highly doubt it. There is no such thing as "generations" of the PC Carbine. All of the guns with the...
Correct to some extent. As I said before, it is about bore obstructions and HV 22 MAG, not necessarily chamber pressure. You will also note that Single-Six revolver frames are marked with a caliber of “22 CAL” while the Wrangler frame is marked “22 LR.” This was purposeful on our part.
I...
A bit of a flippant answer. During destructive / intentional abuse testing it was noted that 22 MAG with a several projectile bore obstruction would cause the cylinder frame to fail in an unsafe manner. Yes, 22 MAG works, but Ruger will not be doing it for that reason.
That is directly inapposite to what the ISP has told me. A Lifetime LTCH is valid for the lifetime of the permittee. There is no provision for "deactivation", revocation, or suspension just because a person moves out of Indiana. As such, the LTCH remains valid and in force when you move out of...
I just spoke with ISP, and that is NOT correct. There is no deactivation of a LTCH if you move out of state. It continues to remain valid, and may be used to carry in states that have reciprocity.
As of 10/1 this state requires fingerprints and training for a license to purchase a handgun, then you have to wait 7 days once you get the license to pick up any handgun you purchase. Not to mention the classes of firearms that were just banned. I wish I were back in Indiana all the time.
Test case? I think I'll just start off by sending the ISP a letter...
This thread was more of a question. Is that what the ISP still does when a licensee with a lifetime LTCH moves out of state?
And I am saying there is no provision in the law, that I can find, that allows for that mechanism, nor for the requirement of residency once issued. The residency requirements (or place of business for non-residents, as there are indeed non-resident IN licenses issued) are ONLY in the statute...
Back when I was moving out of Indiana to the wonderful world that is Maryland  ISP would "deactivate" your LTCH based on an out of state residence. I was bored today and I do not see how, under the law, they were able to do that. Is that how the ISP currently treats a person moving out...
Local shop got in a bunch of Taurus model 82s. I got a moderately used fair condition Smith model 10 for $175 and a model 82 for $110. The Taurus looks almost new.
Are the Taurus guns good? I got a full underlug gun, but they had both there. Should I get a non full underlug gun? Is one better...
