Good review .
I have a couple older convertibles . None have the transfer bar ....and will not get it .
They shoot pretty well.
I had a Bearcat Convertible ....but did not shoot well . I figured it was a better collector than a shooter.....so it went away.
The convertible bores are about...
I have several Marlin 39's. From Mounties to 39 A's.
I am so old school ...I will never have a lever gun of any kind with a safety.
As for Ruger manufacturing Marlin 39's ...they do not
have the talent to manufacture the Marlin lever rifle to the old standards. Hell , Ruger cannot...
Very nice grips. You re right about the talent in firearms in and around Warsaw, MO.
Lotsa great stock makers .
Donnie Gemes of Show me Stocks ....very good also.
I cannot find a morel !
I look every year. find other 'shrooms...when their time is here.
Find all kinds of crap. from deer sheds to condums.
But....no morels.
Well that makes sense. I had a couple 52 sporters ......I played around with them for quite a while, sold 'em in the bye n bye . Had 6-7 Mirokus played around with them a bit. Have one left now. Have a few custom 52's.
It is all great fun.
Win52C,
Your 52 target rifles are to be admired.
I am puzzled by your statement about the Miroku Sporters were the same price( < $600) in the 90's as the original Win 52 Sporters.
Nearing the end of my 8th decade....still working , shooting, hunting ,accumulating.
Have FFL ...love having firearms delivered to the house.
Check in tomorrows mail for new shooter.
