I used to think that. Then I started training and thousands of rounds later SA trigger isn't important anymore.
Striker fired is my preference now. I haven't shot a DA/SA in years but I always liked the consistent pull.
I've accepted the fact if a mass shooter is going to get me, it will be at IMS. I believe even for practice last year I had to pass through a metal detector.
IMS is the only place even though I know sometimes I can get away with it I do not carry.
I love the Indy 500 so much my dog is named...
I do not like thumb safeties at all. They are acceptable on 1911's only. When in a high stress situation your fine motor skills need to be sharp. Thumb safeties are easy to miss and your gun won't fire unless you disengage the safety. DA trigger is acceptable if you train with it. I always find...
For work I need to deep conceal. So I carry a p365.
Outside of work on my hip I carry a glock 43/43x. I love my 19s but I rarely carry them anymore.
But a shoot able pistol is a must for a carry gun. I love the size of the lcp/bodyguard but do not trust the 380 caliber and cannot get a good...
I went really streamline this year. Only walked out with a signed book of Burner from Mark Greaney. (Author of the Gray Man books, and a Netflix movie based off his series last year)
It seemed significantly smaller this year.
Pocket carry is my way of deep conceal. Not my preferred way to carry and don't do it very often. But lately I've had a need for deep concealment more often. I've had a sticky holster for years that I thought was great. Knew drawing from it would be a little longer than my normal 4 o'clock IWB...
A little late on this, but you could probably go to your LGS, tell them you wish to purchase that particular gun on your 21st birthday and they may go ahead and order it and have it set aside for you on your birthday.
Having been on both sides of the gun counter it isn't a weird request. Just...
I couldn't care less if a company supports gay rights. Where my problem with AB is the eradication of women. Women are women and men are men. Not a dude pretending to be a woman.
I will stand right beside gay people in support of equal rights. But I will not stay silent with the mental issue...
"So here’s the deal. Anheuser-Busch totally **** the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I’m not, though, for destroying an American, an iconic company for something like this,” said Trump Jr.
Annheuser Busch sold to a Belgium company years ago. So it's not really an American company anymore...
I got my daughter a cricket 22. She's still not quite big enough for it.
Her first Christmas I also got her a ruger 10/22 take down. When she is old enough to leave the nest I plan on her having a handgun, 22lr, and an AR.
I'd say with cheap red dots this is the case. I had a $120 red dot on a rifle that wouldn't hold zero.
Pistol wise I only own trijicon and haven't had a problem. But wouldn't hesitate with holosun, delta point, or aimpoint. These are the ones I can definitely speak for. Vortex rifle dots the...
I have heard good things since Colt was acquired by CZ but have not handled one. Prior to that theres better for the money. But CZ/Dan Wesson makes really fine 1911s and Colt being under that umbrella I'd imagine it's worth the money.
I like how you can swap FCU's and the sig line. So that would be cool if glock did something similar. I'd like something higher capacity along the sig p365. But other than that there's nothing I want that glock could make.
I don't train as much as I'd like, but yes I do.
But unfortunately I'd say 95% of gun owners don't.
Punching holes in paper isn't training, but it's still a fun activity that I participate in frequently
