      Hi Point 10mm pistol.

Good to know. Not a bad idea to add the pistol for those who already got the carbine

      PSAs own G**** 19 Clone! PS9 Dagger!

The Dagger might fit in G19 leather holsters, but most kydex holsters for G19 I have tested do not fit the Dagger. The trigger guard shape seems to be the problem.

Trying to find my mom the best handgun for her

S&W Shield EZ in 380 or 9mm. This gun is easy to rack and has multiple safety with new shooters in mind (grip safety, thumb safety). If she can handle the 9mm recoil I'd recommend looking at S&W Equalizer. It is built like the EZ but with double stack mag with 15 capacity.

      Wife's Home Defense Pistol

I think you got her good platforms that can be used effectively for self defense. The 380 EZ wil be more effective in terms of stopping power. But I would mot feel unarmed with the TX22 loaded with Federal Punch. Wishing her the best in her fight against cancer.

      Immigrants and firearms

This is a good advice. Does she have a state id with her address, dob? She will need this to establish state of residency when doing the 4473. She also needs to show her green card and enter her uscis number on the 4473.

      Immigrants and firearms

Yes, the alien registration number is printed on the green card. It is a 9 digit number. This is a USCIS#.

      Immigrants and firearms

Yes. I am a permanent resident myself. She can legally purchase firearms per federal law (state law may say differently).

Women tend to be excellent shots

This has been my observation as well. I took the NRA instructor certification so I could train my wife and 2 girls properly. Then I helped training ROTC cadets at the local university. The girls are more patient. They listen better and have no bad habbit to unlearn from playing with toy guns.

      Best Wife EDC Gun?

Let her try something with softer recoil. 9mm or 380. Glock 43x or 48, Shield EZ or Equalizer are good models to consider for 9mm. The EZ and Equalizer will be easier to rack the slide.

Choosing a Gun for the Woman in Your Life

I went through several iterations to find my wife her edc gun. Started with a G26 gen3. She caŕied it for several years then complained it was too heavy. Got her an LC9. She found the recoil to be too sharp. Got her an LCR in 38 spl. She loved it but asked for something else with slimmer...

      PSAs own G**** 19 Clone! PS9 Dagger!

BloodyWheels does it again. He makes excellent mag sleeve for P228 and P226 mags to work on Taurus G2/G2C/G3C.

      Henry’s Amazing Customer Service!

That is good to hear since I can see a Henry 357/38 in my safe down the road. I have good experience with Ruger and Taurus customer service in recent years.

      Gen 5 Glock 20?

@DadSmith I remember seeing a video on youtube about reliability issue with the G20 gen5. Have you seen this?

      Sig 228 question/info

That must be a sweet shooting pistol you got there. I have a P226 MK25 which I love but it is a large gun. The p228 (or P229) will make a better pistol that you can use for edc.

      Just curious about SCCY Handguns?

Does the manual safety on the SR9C (and SR9 as well) interfere with your grip at all? It does for me especially when I used a high grip. The safety has a sharp edge which digs into the jointt on my thumb. It makes shooting the SR uncomfortable for me. And Ruger designed the SR safety to be non...

      Anymore Love for the Mosin?

Love mine. Got the m91/38, m44, and an M39. The m39 is my favorite. Built by the Finns using captured Russian receiver and bolt and Finnish or Swedish or Belgium barrel. Super accurate.

      Just curious about SCCY Handguns?

Absolutely. The Taurus G-series accept the P226 and P228 9mm mags. I use the 15rd P228 mags from mecgar in my G2 and G3C for carry. There is a seller on ebay that sells 3d printed grip spacers for the G2C/G3C to work with P228 and P226 mags.
