Big fan of Buckhorn 209. I like the ability to weigh charges down to the grain. Is the Pyrodex select worth a buy?
My favorite load right now is a 290 grain Barnes TMZ backed by 110 grains by weight of buckhorn 209.
This is above the recommended max of 150 grain by volume of most muzzys so...
Also, with this being a more western focused round, for true to bore muzzleloader stares, surprised hornady did drop a solid copper/lead free version too.
Interesting bullet but have never had great luck with “PowerBelt” style bullets in my Remington 700UML. Might still try a pack if they don’t hurt the wallet too bad.
Thanks looked into this and have to be carful in the paintball tanks as the tank itself has the regulator. Some as low as 500psi so would never be able to top my PCP pellet rifle up to 3000psi
I have been a Garmin fanboy since the original Fenix watch. I have had my fair share mostly in the sport category and currently daily drive a Forerunner 945. I wish I had your sons discount haha. They are expensive but are feature packed for their price point. If you are in the smart watch game...
Thanks for the info guys. I broke down and bought a compressor for myself. Now I am looking for a medium size tank. To take to range on extended shooting sessions.
Great suggestions by the bother guys going to have to look into some of these other holster companies as I am looking at a new carry gun (FN 509M) to put in the rotation
I have had both and prefer the cross bred holster myself. I recently just modified one that was for my shield and gave the kydex a trim to accommodate the shield+ with an optic mounted.
I agree with you here, but I wish it hadn’t I have always preferred precision shoots more than the speed based events.
That being said if anyone where to do air gun silhouette, field target or (too a little less interest) benchrest I would be in to compete. I live in Indy and willing to travel...
I am a PCP guy myself have a couple FX guns and barrels love my shorty .22 impact set up for packing around. If I want to stretch it out I have .25 and .30cal 700mm barrel setups. unfortunately those guns aren’t really in your price range.
Crazy stories on here enjoying reading up on it. I personally fill out a the information on a BOS (single copy for myself) and ask they sign it. I have traded some and sold some to friends or family without it on rare occasions though. The BOS for me is more so for my records to make sure I have...
I agree when I was first starting out reloading a few years back before I sorted by head stamp I couldn’t figure out why I was getting such inconsistencies. Then learned about stepped cases and how they cause pressure spikes with the same powder charge.
