That was part of the problem. Retirement gives you the time to do everything you want. My problem was falling in love with an inexpensive .45 acp carbine that's more often times then not is a $1 a shot. I do want one more higher caliber gun, but after that I think its going to be .22 if any.
Ammo cost has been killing me here lately, so to offset the price a bit I've been shooting .22lr a bit more. I've had a Ruger 10\22 since 1981 and my SR22 is probably 10 years old. After a 2 month back and forth with RK I finally got a Heritage Rancher carbine. I gotta say I'm happy with this...
I'm no expert either. I do know that about 5 years ago my cellphone caught fire in my front shirt pocket. That was exciting! Not willing to risk that on a larger platform. And I also know that deep cycle has years of a good track record. I'm fine with them
The first bank were just regular lead acid deep cell and lasted 7 years. They were 75ah and cost $140 a piece. I have 8 of them. The new ones are AGM and cost $120 a piece (battery tech has gotten better and cheaper). By comparison a Tesla wall costs about $11k, so I got the same storage for...
I've got half my house running on solar. Its very easy to do. Most of the stuff I use is from renogy. My first bank of batteries were deep cell wheelchair batteries. The last ones were just deep cell agm's from amazon. A decent charge controller can be set to whatever type of battery you want to...
Does she mean like when a guy grows out his hair and puts on a dress and pretends to be a woman or a woman shaves her head and pretends to be a guy? Is that a red flag?
I think I'd like to read the science on this. Although I certainly don't disagree on shot placement my first thought was energy when I read that statement.
Yeah, I think it will be sufficient. Mine has a longer barrel then most .380's I see and it is extremely accurate out to 25 yards. Very comfortable to hold, shoot and carry. Although I hate to talk myself out of buying a Kimber. Lol
I keep thinking that also. This Browning likes Remington Ultimate Defense ammo the best (102gr). Out of 5 different brands I've tried. The most expensive of course, but its what I keep in it and it may be all I ever need.
My CZ is close to that I'm thinking. I don't think I'm going to buy anymore polymer pistols. That's why I'm leaning toward Kimber. Springfield Ronin is also something I'm considering.
Carried a .45acp my whole life (4"). Never thought about stopping power. Now that I'm older I've got wrist issues 1\2 a box of .45 will swell my wrist to the point of ice bucket and brace. In the last 2 years got into 9mm and recently .380. Got a rock island 1911 (5" 9mm). Which I like at the...
I don't get it. You can't throw a rock in this country without hitting something made in China after we gave all of our jobs to them, but somehow this is where we draw the line. Its almost like there was an accident at CERN and we have been transported to bizarro world.
