      Another vote for the Missouri Ozarks. You can be set up pretty nice within 10-15 minutes of Truman Lake/Lake of the Ozarks on 20-30 acres well within your budget. Good fishing. Nice huntable woods.

      Mine shops for and buys her own. She likes her G2C in the house/truck and her CSX carry. Although she does keep trying to steal my 911 .380. Her dislikes: Glock. Anything else without a thumb safety. Might talk her into trying out a ms hellcat some time.

      I raised my kids on SA. Colt/RR. Great woods/trap line .22. My 8yo wants pink laminated grips for her RR bird’s head this Christmas. Every RR I’ve owned was more accurate with .22mag. 1 by at least 60% tighter groups.

      I don’t think the FN 502 Tac was mentioned yet. I like my TX and P22Q, but they’re getting replaced with the FN. Being a lefty I don’t mind the Walther paddle, but that safety lever placement… ugh. Not really conducive for kids or new shooters.
