I’ve attended several USLS seminars done by Marc. He does seem very knowledgeable in Self Defense law.
As to bail, USLS does offer that as a stand-alone for a fee; coverage up to 50K.
I think, when we call the emergency number, Marc is the one who answers, but he probably assigns other...
The one thing I'm hesitant about with USLS is that they assign the attorney rather than letting you pick your own.
They don't even publish a list of attorneys in your area that they use, so there's no way to know how competent they are in self defense law, which many are not, because it isn't...

I haven’t gotten into the gun collecting hobby yet. Probably won’t considering I’m old as dirt and don’t expect to be able to do anything sporting due to my health.
I have one handgun for home protection, and thanks to ConC, I now carry it with me whenever I leave the house. Nothing much left...
OK, I’m done! ;) Thanks to all who replied.

Guys,
I apologize for being slow-minded. I really want to understand the law, and be totally within the law. And what xwing said above regarding conflicting language is exactly why I'm not understanding.
b3, below (emphasis mine) is what I'm having trouble with.
IF a license is NOT required...
