I like these old m700's but like others have said, if you dont have a use, maybe not worth it. Someone mentioned the action is worth the 450 and I don't disagree, that being said for $200 more, you can get a blueprinted action for a build. One good point is that it is a good reason to plan a...
I've got a set of the proears stealth 28 plugs on the neckband and they do pretty good outdoors but are borderline uncomfortable indoors. I don't know how they compare to some of their higher end models but i've been happy with mine.
Starline makes brass, hornady still makes ammo in their leverlution line. Winchester still makes ammo, but very difficult to find (I could only find it in Canada for the last few years). HSM makes ammo. I haven't had much luck finding any in Indiana though.
I haven't had much experience with the new 870s since the dissolving of the previous Remington. Ultimately I think mossbergs are what I would've leaned towards, at least over the past 15 or so years. The pre-ISS (J-lock) Remingtons I found to be of better quality. Something about the mossberg...
Yeah, this is more or less my point. They're actually claiming under an inch at 50 yards, which still isn't terrible but not great by any means. Agreed with .22s being heirloom guns. Those Anschutz rifles are slick.
I'm actually getting back to shooting my .22s more than anything else lately...
Just saw Springfield announced the 2020 in a rimfire configuration. It appears to use a similar rotating 10 round magazine to the 77/22 and 10/22 and comes in synthetic and wood stocks. It seems to be priced well for a bolt action .22 and it is nice to see something new coming to the market. It...
+1 on pro shot products for shotguns and brushes mostly. I have a set of the brass Tipton jags. I also use dewey one piece rods for pistols and rifles. I still keep a compact cleaning kit with a multi piece rod with my shooting gear. I've stuck with hoppes over the years, tried quite a few...
I can't remember the name of them but they make quite a few different liquid detergents without optical brighteners which is what I believe you are referencing. Woolite does sound right as creedmoor referenced but its been a few years since I've had to worry about these things.
Been drooling over some of the lightweight 28s for a long time now. Missed out on a franchi 48al in 28ga for much cheaper than it should've been due to a stock cut quite Short. Still kick myself on that one. Sooner or later I'll pick one up. Nice lightweight guns.
Very cool idea. I have seen some of the other conversions for 10/22's like you had mentioned, but never this or anything close to it. Looking forward to hearing how it shoots! It looks to me like you have straight fletched arrows. It may be worthwhile picking up a jig to put a helical fletch on...
Have used this in the past when I was carrying an M4 daily and came here to say this. This will solve your problem without changing anything else. If you want to go with a different grip, I like many on here also enjoy the BCM gunfighter grips.
I think MR. Ellifritz hits the nail on the head, at least in my interpretation of his writing. WML have a very limited use and while he prefers the handheld light over the WML, I tend to err on the side of having the WML and a handheld, a Fenix pd25. Hardly ever use my WML, but it takes such...
I have carried many of the USA made Kershaw knives over the years and have been very satisfied. If there's any chance you can up the budget maybe 10 or 20 dollars, I think it may be worthwhile going up to a leek or a scallion with the leek being in a similar size. For every day pocket carry, I...
No experience with the Dewalt trimmer but I ended up going with the Stihl FSA 57 partially because I'm a Stihl fanboy but also because it is part of their USA made battery powered tools. I have been happy with the USA made blower and the trimmer with the AK 10 and 20 batteries.
I would say go for the loose shell dump style pouch. I started out with a stacked pouch, one portion held 2 boxes of shells loose and the bottom portion held hulls. Another thing that may be worth looking into would be doing a full belt setup with 2 bags for shells and 1 larger bag in the back...
very interested to see a 15 round mag with typical Glock tech. May have me reconsidering the 43x/48 instead of the macro. Heard many good things about the reliability of these vs the shield arms mags. will see what I experience first hand.
I still am very hesitant to recommend to family/friends. I am considering picking one up to evaluate. I was very off put from Taurus from a family members experience with one of their railed 1911's when they first came out. As previously discussed, it seems they are under new management and are...
