      22LR Target rifles

I’ve added a few more since I started this thread, it’s becoming an addiction.

      Winchester 52 “Perfection in Design”

I bumbled on to my 1925 52 at a local gun show. I wasn’t to sure I wanted it, but then the seller said 5 takes it home. I took it home.

The "holy grail " of 22lr target guns?

My 52 is a 1925 four digit sn, it’s definitely a fun one to shoot.

      Flea market finds

I appreciate the offer but I think I'll stick with the Weaver for now.

      Flea market finds

In addition to the 151M, I also have a model 25, B46B and a 44 (US). All are good shooters.

      Flea market finds

The rifle functions flawlessly, but I had to replace the scope. After 10 shots going every which direction, I realized the reticle was broken. So now it has a 70’s Weaver on it.

      Flea market finds

A local antique shop hosted a 3 day flea market over the weekend. It was like we stepped into the 80’s again. Antiques, car parts, knives, miscellaneous cool stuff, guns and NO t-shirt stands. On Sunday I brought home a 1940 Winchester model 75, went back Monday and bought home a Winchester...

      Another Marlin

Do you put your SSN on the 4473? If not, there may be someone with a very similar or in my case the same name who may NOT be squeaky clean. I always put my SSN on the 4473 to avoid confusion and have never been delayed.

      Winchester 290

I got this Winchester 290 in Tennessee this morning, it needs cleaned up but no major dents or dings. Plus the scope is still clear and crisp.

      Another Marlin

I got two on this visit to Tennessee and in both shops they commented on how quickly the NICS approval came back.

      Another Marlin

No, just did a 4473 and NICS check and walked out with it.

      Another Marlin

Vacationing in Tennessee is always fun, especially when you find a 1957 Marlin 39A to bring home. This is my 14th Marlin rim-fire and 2nd 39A.

      22LR Target rifles

I have always preferred 22LR over other rifle calibers, I have 34 of them and I recently added my first official “Target” rifle. It was a 1925 Winchester model 52 very accurate and fun to shoot. Yesterday I bought a 1985 Remington 541 X Target 22LR. I dialed it in today at 50 yards and holy crap...

Anyone else know a 'collector' like this?

I have a tough time of accepting today's ammo prices. I remember buying military surplus 500rd cases of whatever you wanted for $100 or less. Because of that, I have rediscovered 22LR over the past few years and have been shooting them more than anything else.

      Single shot .22 rifles

I find that I enjoy shooting the bolt action 22's the most, I also tend to single feed them even if it has a detachable magazine.

Anyone else know a 'collector' like this?

I've been contemplating getting rid of my British and German rifles because I can barely afford to feed them anymore.

Anyone else know a 'collector' like this?

I work with a guy who buys guns as an investment, the investment guns never get shot. He has a much smaller group of ones that he will shoot. Me on the other hand I shoot everything in my collection regardless of value or collector desirability.

      Single shot .22 rifles

I have 9 single shot 22 rifles, my favorite is a Remington 514. Here are the ones I have pics of. Remington 514, Hopkin & Allen 922, Mossberg 25 and Ranger (Marlin) 36A. Marlin Crown Prince 17" barrel H&R 550 (PAL). Why a birdcage flash suppresser?? Because it was cheaper than a can and...
