If you don't have a 308 or 300 blackout, and don't plan to add a 308 or 300 blackout, there is no reason to buy a longer/heavier can for 308.
The exception is the SilencerCo Omega. Those things are damn impressive and LIGHT.
I have an AAC 556SD that I am VERY happy with. But I got it for a...
300 blackout is a completely different animal than 308, for a completely different niche. That niche is not longer range shooting.
You would be better served by a 308 in that role.
John Thomas of Retro Arms Works. He pinned the FSB for my Colt 603 clone to a virgin barrel and it only took me 2 or 3 clicks from mechanical center to be zeroed. Speaks very well of his ability to pin them on straight.

I have a 30-06 and have kicked around the idea of a 300 blackout for a year or so now. I am a big fan of the AR-15 platform but for the moment since I already have a good bolt action and a pile of ammo for it, I will most likely stick with that. If you aren't already invested in a bolt action...
I am using iron sights on my 10/22. Specifically Tech Sights which replaces the front blade/bead and has the rear aperture on the receiver. Using the adjustment on the receiver to have a consistent amount of tension between the barrel and the receiver, I have had completely repeatable zero...
Most of Bill Geissele's triggers are not user adjustable. It sounds like you are using the adjustable Hi-Speed NM triggers. The SSA, SSA-E, Tricon, and S3G, among others, are not user adjustable and are very reliable and robust triggers that cannot be screwed with.
Triggers are a very...

Would you consider a trade for 308/30-06 reloading components? I have powder, primers, projectiles to load 1000 pieces of brass. I know it isn't listed in your desired trades, but I don't have anything that you listed.
Not to be a smartass but reloading is the best answer. My reloading equipment has paid so many dividends... I really wish I had tracked it. Even on 9mm and 223 alone I make out like a bandit. Yes you have to attach a $ value to your time but I do it as a hobby on weekends and it hasn't...
I will be back to shoot at South Central next match. My biggest complaint is that I didn't get to shoot the rest of the match, and the stages were fun and I was shooting well considering it was my first match of the year. I'm not trying to condemn the club or INMG, or even the people running...
I was DQ'ed on stage 6. RO said, STOP!. I stopped. He said, "You broke the 180." I looked at the target, looked over my shoulder, and said, "No, I didn't break the 180, but I am over that fault line." Not the RO's fault, it was in the stage description and he was just following that. I...
Probably made in China vs. made in Japan like the Razor. Also won't have the HD glass. The new scope is a lot lighter.
I splurged and bought a Razor 1-6 midway through the 2013 season. If this new 1-6x would have been out I probably would have gone that route instead, but now that I have the...
73 decibels is absurd and, IMHO, impossible with supersonic ammunition. Also impossible because as someone else pointed out, the action noise of an AR-15 is louder than that.
But suppressors are known for boosting velocity. 100fps wouldn't be out of line, if I recall correctly.
I can't...
