What's not to like about a 22 ? It's so cheap and easy to shoot. They will knock down anything from a mouse to a moose if the shots good enough. I have both hand guns and rifles. By the way, it's a gun and can we have to many ???
There is no way to go wrong with the 870. I have 4 of them from field grade to trap grade. 12 and 20 gauge. I have shot several thousand rounds with the trap gun and never any problems. Easy to carry and has a good feel. For the money its a great choice.
Its never to early. I was target shooting at the range at the Y when I was 7. Fifty years ago. Of course things were much different then. I started with my son when he was about 2. Got his own first gun at 6, a nice Fox 410 double. He still has it and will someday be passed to my...
As far as I'm concerned any good name brand rifle would fill the bill here. I don't know of any quality store that sells seconds. I do agree that training is a must and that a experianced shooter should be with them at first. It depends on the young adult and there responsable attitude...
I have 2 1100's a 12 and a 20. Love them both. I have not yet had a o-ring problem but I do have a set of spares for that moment. I really don't see much difference in them compared to the 11-87.
Both are great guns and very reliable, my pick is the 870 of which I have several. From trap grade to field grade and from 12 to 410. They just feel like a old friend to me. Either choice is a good one.
Its a great gun, I have my grandfathers. I completly refinished it and it looks great. i think he told me that he got the gun in 1942. Mossburg parts interchange. I have had some trouble finding clips for it though.
I have been trying to figure out how to contact you about the Fox double. It won't let me send a PM till I have 50 posts. I'm intrested in seeing the gun.
