The intent of the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with hunting, they understood that in the unlikely event your government has become corrupt, people are the last line of defense of liberty. If you read the opening line of the Declaration of Independence there intent is quite clear.

Thats the smartest thing said in this thread. At the end of the day I have 5 guns and the supreme court has already said I can keep them. Thank god we live in a state that recognized our 2 amendment rights. They may make it harder to get but unless they plan to wipe out the Constitution...
My wife is a ER nurse and always had a problem with any guns in the house, I took my time but was finally able to get her out shooting, she fell in love with it and saw it as something we could do together.
