Messed up 80% AR15 receiver repair

I have an 80% receiver that I buggered up the safety hole. I have drilled it out to 1/2" have fit a 1/2" alum. rod to replace the material that I removed. My question is how do I secure the rod in the hole, permanent Loctite, epoxy, JB weld, what would be best to use? I will route the excess...

What is the most reliable handgun for Self Defense under $400

Used Glocks can easily be found for under $400 and if you are worried that it has been messed with, replace all the cheap parts with factory parts and it should be good to go.

      Thread pitch of 1903 barrel

I bought a 98 Mauser action with a 1903 barrel threaded into it. Had AllenM remove the barrel(he did a great job), I tried to thread a barrel with 98 Mauser threads and they wouldn't work, I bought another action to use, but my question, could a 98 Mauser action be threaded to the 1903 threads...

      Pellet traps?

I built a wooden trap with a steel plate behind duct seal, haven't had a pellet get to the steel plate yet. It is heavy but it won't fall over. Cut a slot to slide a piece of cardboard into for a target backer. Seems to work well.

      Rhineland Arms Anyone?

I have a 98 Mauser 45 ACP coversion kit and a CETME 45 ACP kit from them, haven't finished either one. It seems the Mauser kit will work, but the CETME conversion might be more of a problem. On Weaponsguild people are having trouble getting them to run reliably, the last time I checked. Had...

      Air rifle for squirrels

Was just looking at Pyramyd Air and they have a Umarex Gauntlet that is very inexpensive for a PCP, would still need to get a hand pump, but that wouldn't be too far out of your price range, might give it a look. .22 cal is better for hunting than .177 cal, but either would work for chipmunks...

Remington 700 tune up and barrel swap and who can do it?

Are you going to keep the 5r barrel and is it a heavier profile? I have an 700 ADL that I put in a Magpul Hunter stock and that skinny barrel just doesn't look right. If you are interested in selling the old barrel let me know.

Airguns... not your Grandma's Red Ryder BB gun anymore!

You can get sound reduction devices for airguns, no license needed as long as they can't be used on a powder burner. Laws are kinda strange re-guarding air guns.

Anyone have experience with Palmetto and ZR Tactical 80% lowers?

You can sell a firearm built on a 80% receiver the same as any other firearm, you just can't be selling a bunch of them. It doesn't have to have a serial number, it's easy to put one on if you think you might get stopped by the police and they think you removed the serial number which is a...

Does anyone have HK G3/91/CETME receiver jigs?

You can make one out of uni-strut, or wood or they are 3-d printing them now. Check out weapons guild site, good instructions.

K98 Mauser converted to .45ACP! (video)

It is probably a Rhineland arms kit, they have them for Cetme/G3 too, I am in the process of building up both of them, we will see how they work.
