I had seen cincinati and made an assumption. I'm in Dayton. About an hour east of Richmond.
Either way, HRT is a super solid company. I highly recommend them!

I seem to remember you mentioning that you are in Ohio, is that wrong?
If not you should check out HRT tactical. Really solid gear in my opinion. Everything from carriers to chest rigs to fun stuff like hand warmer danglers.
They're out of Columbus and I've been to their home office. Great...
If the question is
"would I like to have a patrol rifle while on patrol"
The answer is an immediate and emphatic yes.

No, actually that's not what I'm saying. What I am saying is that the second he started resisting, there were... perhaps 2 choices that lead to his living. one of which isn't even his choice; Having his arm controlled out by baton. Perhaps as long as only the two officers were involved he was...
Alright guys, I'm going to take a contratian stance here. I don't think this dude really had a chance once his pistol was found. Even absolute complicity in that situation could very easily have an adrenaline filled officer cranking a round off inducing the rest of the officers to follow suit...
So am I to understand that fusion is sub par? I was under the impression that the owner had been a big wig for Wilson, or someone?
I think that SA Is more than enough for most people. Especially as a "tool" as opposed to a labor of love.

Do you intend to develop your own course or run a course as disgned by thr NRA or USCCA? As an NRA instructor if you intend to run the course as is take the USCCA course. The uscca course lends itself to ccw whereas the basic pistol course is.... not, in my opinion, a ccw course.

For reference, I've got the strike eagle (attack pigeon) 1-6. Nothing to complain about. I'm content with the optic power, though if I had the money I would spend it on something a little more proven (nightforce, Schmidt&bender, heck even the vortex razor is super nice.)
I've got a buddy who...
I forgot to update when I picked her up, but I picked her up last month.
First observation:
It's nice. My first 19/2011 style pistol so I don't have a lot of experience, but I rather enjoy it. I'm definitely willing to learn, so if anyone has any tips, let me know!
This particular 2011 style...
Both options sound phenomenal actually... depending on the situation. I realistically need more context for the question to answer in any meaningful way though

Well... you never know, maybe if you buy another glock you'll like it more? [emoji1]
Things like that happen. And the good news is that if you DO end up liking the glock more, it gives you a reason to try another HK[emoji16]

A "class' isn't going to do much for you honestly; Craig douglas' ECQC not withstanding and ECQC isn't strictly knifework. Knife fighting as a rule is a good way to lose at least a digit... assuming that you win.
I second the idea of taking up systema, maybe MMA... perhaps even something like...
1-6 LPVO from Vortex, swampfox , or any of the higher end companies 1-8, or 1-10 won't hurt, but 10x is a lot of zoom for .223.

Glocks are fine. I do believe that glock has the best ecosystem for 9mm Handguns. Perhaps sig and CZ are close, though you'll run into the same issues with either(mag prices). I can't say that you're wrong in thinking about switching but perhaps also think about the price of ammunition to bring...
BAG is solid as heck. AWS is also very nice. Gcode makes a very nice inner belt, and I'm thinking about picking up the axl exlipse outter belt. That's a heck of a belt.

Thats a fair point. I may do some testing myself to see what comes of that. Perhaps ar500 (the company) would do well to design a plate carrier with Kevlar fibers at the edges of the plate bags to help catch any spall and frag that may have gotten past the coating?

My understanding is that those bulges either don't occur when plates are backed by human, or that we don't take injury from the back face deformation as easily as we had thought.
The military is adjusting their bfd standard from 44mm (also NIJ standard) to 58mm. This would indicate that either...
Do we have any new information on the steel plates that I haven't heard? Last I knew steel wasn't good for armor, spall and fragmentation and all that.
