      When a reasonable person (first a cop, then a prosecutor, then a jury) would conclude that his or another life is jeapordy or serious physical harm. Gotta say, if someone pulls a knife or s sledge hammer and they are close enough to use those weapons, I think deadly force is justified.

      Please DONT leave your guns in your vehicle. There have been many vehicle break ins at the gun show. Happened to a friend of mine. He lost 3 pistols from his SUV. I am a vendor there. It is a bit hit and miss on parking lot security. Inside, it is one of the safest place on the planet.

      You can shoot only when a reasonable person would believe that their own or someone else's life is in imminent danger of death or grievous bodily injury...Period. Keep it simple. If you start to move into the gray area of this rule you leave yourself open to rightful prosecution.
