I am looking for a Px4 Storm Full size, compact or compact carry in either 9mm or 40 S&W. I am located in Southern Indiana near Salem but I am willing to travel a fair bit in state as long as the deal is good. Thank you.
Man, some one is defensive about marines having to work with awful equipment. If the ordnance corps could force the marines to field the 1903 as their service rifle they would.
Because they are the biggest penny pincers known to man. Marines get all the dregs of whatever the other branches are not using and the army looks at whatever the cheapest avenue they can get away with is.
FALs are real NATO but you have never told us what you mean by a workhorse gun. If we knew that it would be easier to narrow down what you need. Still .308 is outperformed by a lot of better options depending on use case
Well I know several things. One the bullets will be .365 diameter, two I will be powder coating them, three case pressure won't be high since all of my load will be sub's out of an 8.1 inch barrel.
I will check these other sources out though, thanks.
Does anyone have a lead on good molds for 9x39 bullets? Looking for something in the 230-310 grain range. Also looking for load data on it. Have done some scouring but have come up dry. Any info would be appreciated.
M1As have a cool factor all their own. I am partial to the original M14 config. If you have the extra dish just go for it man. Worst comes to worse you can horse trade it.
63 CPR, but what you shoot means nothing. It will be whatever's OP wants to shoot. Also OP is talking about buying now, not 6 months ago. I bought my mosin for 89 before they started drying up, doesn't mean I can get one for less than 250 NOW.
I don't see where you guys are saying .308 is cheaper than 6.5 grendel. Looking at outdoor limited at steel on both (brown bear for .308 and wolf military classic for 6.5 Grendel) they are the same price ( 50 CPR) and same shipping to indiana. You can get quality barrels for the same price, .308...
This. While .308 has a special place in my heart, it is outclassed by new rounds that can do its job but better. If you are looking for something to do actual work (that isn't slapping level 4 plates with M993) then 6.5 is a better alternative.
It was more of a quip about the mentality of Indiana law makers at large, and how spineless the Republicans are to the will of the democrats. My local rep is pretty good but in general these law makers are fine giving away our rights to appease the loudest crowds.
Thanks for the link on the SMERSH. I might run that with low profile plates and some extra mags. With make running meds and a full battle load a lot easier.
