      As long as it was built from a stripped lower and does not have a buttstock and cannot readily accept a stock, it is a pistol. I have seen people that post online about how they converted their rifle lowers to pistols......this is a big no no.

      I have both and I really don't think I would use the laser on the bodyguard. I have been to many training courses and just not trained to use the laser.

      Buy one complete if you don't build these often enough to get the tools. Tools aren't all that expensive, but what is the point of buying all those when you just buy a complete one at really not that much price difference.

      Aimpoint 3x magnifiers are on sale so go for those if you have an aimpoint. I think they work with lower mount Eotech as well or you will have to get a riser.

      Barrel length and caliber does not matter. If there is no stock and assist device on handguard for additional control, it is a pistol.
