Buy it for life, do it all .357?

I love my 4” sp101. It fits my hand perfect, built for eternity and easy to shoot. Would like to add a 3” version to the collection if I could find one priced right.

      Glock 44

Picked one of these up today. Took it to the range and put abkut 400 rounds of rem thunderbolts through it. One fte and one ftf. Accuracy was meh, but in its defense I shot it after shooting my m41 and 617 which sets the bar high for a cheap plinker.

How have you helped fight back?

Renewed my NRA membership. Now looking at joining 1-2 more organizations. Who seems to be doing the most for the 2a fight?

      Stevens Favorite Identification

You might give Jeff a call at McDonald’s Guns in Marion. If my memory serves me correctly he had a local guy that liked to repair and rebarrel these. Might be a good source for whatever parts/ knowledge you need

      Threaded .22

^^ +1 for the fvsr. The factory stock is a let down but it is a great shooting gun especially for the money.

      Ruger boxes

Someone school me on the timelines for the Ruger handgun boxes. More specifically when they started and stopped with the yellow and black boxes for the SP101 and started putting them in the gray plastic cases.

Great afternoon at the range today.....

Made it out yesterday with the kids. They did most of the shooting but it’s time well spent. Shot mostly 22 out of the tx22, sr22, 617, and tippman m4. Got to break in the new 986 which was a blast. Anyone in the Marion/Gas city area should check out Deer Creek. It’s a fantastic place to shoot

      S&W 986

Picked up a 986 5” “Pro series” today. For a PC gun that is far from cheap the trigger leaves a lot to be desired. Fun to shoot though. I just cleaned the plate racks with it today but will get it on paper to see how it groups soon. Anyone else have any experiences on these?

      9mm recipes

Picked up a 986 5” today and figured I’d use up some of the pile of reloading stash on it. Figure when/if things settle down I’ll use it for steel challenge. What’s your favorite load for smacking steel?

      McDonald's Guns, Marion IN

Talked to him today. They’re cutting hours down to 2 days a week starting next week. Closing and moving to Kentucky before summer I believe.

      McDonald's Guns, Marion IN

I’m gonna stop in today. It’s the only place around here where the conversation is worth the trip even if I don’t find anything I’m looking for.

Do you test run all your mags?

Yep. I’ve had few issues, but last year I picked up an AR 10 and both the factory mags were crap. Nothing but ftf. Replaced them with pmags and no issues.

      McDonald's Guns, Marion IN

Recently heard Jeff will be retiring. Gonna be a real loss. Great people and a lot of knowledge. Easily the best atmosphere for a gun shop anywhere around here. Anyone been by lately?

      CZ 527

I should clarify. The necg peeps don’t work with all factory fronts, but they do seem to with this model that comes with the fiber optic front.

Nice! Cant really see by the pic but looks like a nice stock too. I really wish I could find one with beautiful grain. If you like peeps the necg ones should work with the factory front, Atleast mine does. Congrats on a nice find
