      Food for thought...

      I get all these gun magazines...they are always touting the latest and greatest New kid on the block..I'm thinking of branching out and actually BUYING a different brand, just to be different. I recently bought a Taurus g 3 or 4 and found it to be perfectly serviceable- a good pistol all around...

      Bought a 1911...

      I haven't had a 19:11 for a long time. I used to shoot them all the time in bullseye competition but I found myself without one.(a 1911) Soooo.... a pure GI 1911 would do. A fully loaded 1911 would be nice- you know,one with a flared maxwell, 30 lpi front and backstrap, ambi oversized...

      I miss...

      The America that I grew up in...I miss going to the 2nd floor at Emroe's Sporting Goods store downtown on Indianapolis with my Grandfather. The "Old Dutchman" worked up there. He and my Grandfather were great old friends...they spoke of 30-40Krags and 45-70's...Darn are all the good days gone?

      Glock slide lock?

      There was a guy - I think his name was T R Graham. He made/marketed a "Match Grade Slide Lock" for Glocks. I believe they did improve the accuracy. The BEST thing they did was keep you from breaking your fingernail off when removing your slide. I'd like to get ahold of him and order some. I...

      Romeo & P17

      Just put a SIG Romeo on my P17. I went with the Romeo because thats what others suggested because of its light weight. Functioned flawlessly. I like the "shake awake" feature. I AM DISAPPOINTED with the size/location of the on/off button. You gotta have Barbie doll sized fingers to get on there.

      Savage Axis II

      I was lucky enough to get the "Black Friday Deal" on a Savage Axis II in .270Winchester. It took about a 1/2 dozen shots to get it close to zero, then we got serious. 5 shots off a carhart coat and a cement block/picnic table @ 100yds. Smaller than a quarter. That dog will hunt.

      I use a holosun on my 43x...Change the battery every 3 mos...this one DIDNT make the 3(???) Have to watch it closer to 2mos...thank God for nite sites!

      "Constitutional " carry question.

      So Indiana recently passed and (now) enacted a law stating an Indiana resident can carry w/o a "pink card". Can the piece be concealed? Must it be "open carried" Rifle? Pistol? Shotgun? Thanks in advance.
