      Morels 2024

Luckily morels look very distinctive, hard to confuse them with a Toad Stool, or Death Cap.

My First UTV - Opinions Needed

Super ATV has 20% off site wide thru March 7th, probably won’t be a sale this good until Black Friday.

      Freeze Dryer

You can fit 2 dozen raw eggs per tray with a medium freeze dryer. I haven’t done raw eggs yet, mainly because my chickens suck, and I never have 96 eggs. I’ve only done scrabbles, and skillets mixed with meat and veggies.

Ice cream is fun too, I didn’t eat any since I’m doing low carb, but it looks pretty, and was a big hit at the party I took it to. My recommendation, avoid chocolate, it bubbles really bad, must have more sugar.

      Freeze Dryer

Wife and daughter have a cup sale coming up, spent the whole weekend running candy. Sour Apple Carmel suckers, ran 48 of them plus skittles, jolly ranchers, air heads, peeps, nerd clusters, and gummy bears.

My First UTV - Opinions Needed

I back a camper, livestock trailer, and a utility trailer, that ATV with tiny trailer isn’t in the same universe. lol.

My First UTV - Opinions Needed

Good luck backing a trailer with less than 36” between the hitch, and trailer axel with handlebars, and no power steering.

My First UTV - Opinions Needed

I did the ATV with a dumping lawn trailer back in the day, not fun to backup, especially with no power steering.

      Freeze Dryer

I really like ground meats, pork, chicken and beef. Just to be safe for long term storage, I rinse the meat with hot water after cooking.

      Large Garage Door Experts?

I’ve replaced springs, and even doors on residential sized doors, this big door is on another level, but still the same concepts. Not going to guess on the weight, ordered this. https://a.co/d/08z9zvs Amazing that you can get a 660 pound scale for $44.

      Are OTF Knives Practical?

I always wanted one, but never ponied up for a Microtech. Preordered a Kershaw Livewire as soon as they were announced. Functions flawlessly, and makes a nice dress knife, but seems too fragile for an EDC knife, I’ll stick with side openers for that.

      Large Garage Door Experts?

Currently installed, once I wound that second spring and removed the vice grips, door took off like a rocket. I had to jump off a step ladder onto the door to get it back down.

      Large Garage Door Experts?

Any large garage door experts? I have a 18’x12’ steel non insulated garage door on my pole barn. Problem 1 anyone have an estimated weight? I sent an email to the manufacturer, but haven’t heard back. I don’t have a scale big enough to weigh it. Problem 2 and what kicked this all off, I...

      Buying whole pigs/cattle?

Not a problem, just head to the sale barn. I really like the Rochester Sale Barn, but there are others.

      Kershaw Blur

Kershaw has great customer service. I’ve had two blades replaced since I’m a notorious knife abuser, I’ve used the free sharpening service a time or two. I had a ZT 0350, that I couldn’t get centered, I sent it back for centering. I’ve also gotten Speed Safe, and Auto springs, since I’ve had...

      Freeze Dryer

Not going to lie, it is more tedious than I thought going in. The biggest sticking point is knowing when the food is totally done, you can’t trust the machine. Some people just add tons of extra dry time, lots of wasted electricity, others keep weighing the food until there is no more weigh...

      Freeze Dryer

I just eyeball it, those are quart bags, figure enough for two, or one if you are really hungry.

The INGO Hardcore Weight Loss/Fitness Thread

I’m with you, no sweets, no fruit, not even artificial sweeteners. Sugar is a drug, kick it for a week or two, and the cravings go away. Now if I could just kick nicotine.

      Freeze Dryer

Done lots of scrambled egg dishes, this is the first time I added cheese. Didn’t have enough for another bag, so I’m going to rehydrate the remainder for breakfast tomorrow.
