When I heard the local Chevy dealer charge a woman $85 dollars for wiper blades I decided I'll only go there for something I just can't do myself......
I don't doubt that deer numbers are down statewide but it seems to be very spotty. I'm in LaPorte county, I've seen more deer this year than last year but still nothing like 15 years ago. I used to have 20-30 deer in the fields in the evening, now it's 5-6. That is an improvement over 2 years...
I've shot coyotes with deer at the other end of the field, they usually just look around a little and go back to feeding. I got my buck during bow season and don't really need any more meat so I'm coyote hunting the rest of the week, I'm on vacation.
I'm glad I read this thread. I was going tomorrow to sell some .223 ammo and p mags, sold my AR. It's a 3 hour drive for me so I'm not doing it just to stand in line for 4 hours, my bladder ain't that big.

I will shoot a doe before a small buck. I have ended up with nothing before by waiting for a trophy but antlers are a big part of what I'm out there for.
It doesn't look good for this year, all I'm seeing is small bucks, haven't seen a doe yet.
40-50 rounds to prove a setup? If I shot that many at one sitting my arm would still be in a sling:D I think it took me 10 rounds to sight in and maybe 2 or 3 each year after that to make sure it is still on.
