Thanks for the rep. I swear 98% of people have never fired a real Mauser, or Springfield. But I usually get flamed pretty good for pointing out the lack of quality in the Mosins....... LOL

SCOTUS: Illegal evidence is OK to uphold a conviction

Another person who didnt read the article, or the applicable law.

SCOTUS: Illegal evidence is OK to uphold a conviction

Its not ignorance of the law, its acting in good faith that the law/knowledge is correct. Very fine line between the 2, but there is a difference. The 2 cases in the wki article explain it very well.

SCOTUS: Illegal evidence is OK to uphold a conviction

Its the same exception that covers evidence seized from busting down the wrong door in a raid, only to find the warrant was misspelled and was for the house next door. If that happens, since the officers were acting in good faith, the evidence will be allowed in court. It has also happened...

SCOTUS: Illegal evidence is OK to uphold a conviction

Good faith, its an exception that is as old as dirt. Some people really need to take an elementary level law class.

      Help with Mauser 98K

Make sure that the chamber is cleaned, very well. Then try a different batch of ammo. Its very possible that you have some gunk in the chamber causing the round to stick. Or its not unheard of to have a batch of ammo that is out of spec enough to stick. Ive seen this happen on a lot of Mosins...

      Harley

Have you used a vista throttle lock? I used one on my cruise out to CA, works like a charm and they only cost like $30. Very easy and safe to use if you install it right. But ya the BMW dual sports are the pinnacle of dual sport/adventure bikes in most minds (including my own).

      Harley

Agreed 100% No sane person can own any cruiser and not want louder pipes. Its against the laws of manhood! :rockwoot:

      Ceramic knives

I had someone ask me this same question. To add to that, how much brittleness are we talking about? Still capable enough for heavy hacking? Or are they more neglected for kitchen/light duty?

      Harley

I had a Suzuki Volusia/Boulevard 800. Very underpowered for such a big bike, but I loved it. Now I ride a Kawasaki KLR 650 dual sport, but if your talking about Harleys your probably not even considering the frog donkey. Harleys have massive dealer support so if anything goes wrong its fairly...

      TSA strikes again!

So you give folks a hard time about referring to paper terrorism as watering down the term of terror. Yet you are now calling the TSA terrorists? Double standard much? :dunno:

My apologies to the Sigma community

I loved my Sigma, sold it to buy a revolver but I would own one again if I ever got over the revolver addiction. Dandy gun for cheap, ate anything I put through it, fit like a glove, and was fairly accurate. Only draw back for me was the lack of accessories and the non-standard rail system...
