If they sell them to the US, clearly they're going to sneak back in to go on murderous rampages like the guns in chicago that come from indiana gun shows. They must be destroyed to end the cycle.
Finicky is a good term. The mags are both the selling point and the Achilles' Heel. The 9mms are also noteworthy as being a roller-delayed action. Super light recoil and almost no muzzle rise. If you can learn how to keep the mags happy it'll be grins all day long.
There are several threads on here about RK corporate keeping a blacklist: once you're denied you stay denied. They won't even run the 4473 till you get the original denial cleared up with the gov't then contact corp to clear it up with them.
I spent most of my school years in IL till I moved to IN and saw the light.
Other than a few pockets (Dekalb, Rockford, quad cities) most of the area north of 30, west of 47 is farmland too
I was there in Nov. Yes they have bag checks and metal detectors but it's just theatre. They don't do anything when the detector lights up like it does for everyone walking through it (phone, keys, utility knife, leatherman, belt, shoes) and only a cursory glance in the top of the largest pocket...
Mike covered it well. It might be fine for hundreds of rounds, it might throw off your accuracy, it might fail completely allowing the scoped action to go wherever it likes.
It's a cult gun. It's unique operationally, it works really well, it's designed like a swiss watch but built like a tank. It's rare and getting rarer.
You squeeze it as part of the draw... getting your firing grip squeezes the cocking lever, you don't think about it as a second action after...
Targets are typically about 2moa. Yea there are 1/4" targets but they're usually only 20-35 yards. Sounds like you have a good starter setup for NRL22 already. If you have a bipod and a bag you'll be good to go (If not there's a good chance there'll be spares on site to borrow). I'd suggest...
Hoosier Hills is pretty accessible from indy, about 10 miles off I65 exit 68 (about halfway between columbus and nashville). Depending on where in indy you are that could be only 35-40 minutes. We're very newbie/youth friendly.
I plunk with my CZs (short leade). If it fits them, it'll fit anything.
I run 9 through a lee crimp die because I have a Bond Arms Bullpup, it's basically a bullet puller when it cycles so they need a good firm crimp.
Heloooo fellow pegasus 12 owner, I also got one about the same time frame. It's a workhorse but yea, the newer printers are on another level. I paid less a few months ago for my K1 Max that prints about 10x faster and high temps. You won't look back.
Will it play many games? yes. Think of it this way, it'll play 10 year old games amazingly and newer games proportionally worse. I have a I5 7700k GTX1060 16gb DDR4 machine that was my main one till I upgraded to a laptop. Now it's my wife's rig. We did upgrade to a newer 4000 series RTX but...
It's as much about how it's made as what it's made from. A poorly fitted holster of any material will wear the finish. A well made one of any material will do far far less damage.
It is but modern pistols are also specifically built for a price point/ease of manufacture. The P7 is an engineers wet-dream with little concern for cost. It's not that it's hard to make per-se, it's actually a piece of cake but the time to produce and assemble each is much longer plus the waste...
DE is still a very heavy recoil spring(s) because it has to undo all that work and close again. It also has lots of surface area to grip, point is a TCP is tiny and a DE is huge, my wife can run the whole range of pistols. I don't need to tell my wife she needs a revolver (cuz if she can't rack...
