      Rifle carrying backpack

      Looking for a good backpack to carry a long gun in. Maybe for hunting but mainly for hiking. Any suggestions? Maybe a brand to look at. Like to be able too carry two at once. Also is it best to carry barrel up and uncovered or facing down in the carrier? Thanks

      Remington 597 22lr miss fire bullet must be lodged in barrel.

      Here is a picture of the shell. If I can clear the barrel will it be safe to shoot?

      Have an older S&W 38 special probably late 1941 or early 1942. Maybe some times called Pre-Victories Serial number 848823 to Oct 1941 and 898176 to May 1942 for a 38 Special. Any idea where I can find a thumb piece and nut? Do you think the one here in this web site will work...
