      North to Alaska 2024

No firearms will be carried on this trip. I know that sounds insane, but the Canadian government has gone into full oppression mode in regards to firearms and personal liberty. To get approval to travel with a firearm through Canada requires permission from the state. That process can be done...

      North to Alaska 2024

In a few weeks, I will be making my annual trip to Alaska. This trip will be different though. Instead of flying, I will be driving up the Alaska Highway. The plan is to fly out to Salt Lake, Utah and meet a friend who is driving up. From there, we will head to Great Falls, Montana, then north...

      HAVE YOU EVER?

Yep. If I had more dollars than I did sense, the collection would have an StG 57, 03A3 Springfield and 45-70 trapdoor.

Convicted For Building Guns; Judge says, “Do not bring the Second Amendment into this courtroom”

So the entire Bill of Rights is null and void in NYC courts?

      Walking?

Used to commute by bicycle. Twenty four miles between home and work. Later, when I no longer did the bike commute, I left a spare bike at work for "short trips" between facilities. Always had it in the back of my mind that if I needed to, I could use it for getting home.

Carry at the Air Force National Museum in Dayton, OH.

I remember the tornado that wiped out Xenia. I was just a kid in Kettering and remember the angry green low clouds when the tornado first hit locally. It then built up strength and hit Xenia. Dad ended up working in Xenia for three days, helping with the initial recovery.

Carry at the Air Force National Museum in Dayton, OH.

East Dayton/Riverside is a rough area. In fact, 99% of the City of Dayton is medium/high crime area. (Dad was a Dayton police officer) The federal property the museum sits on is pretty secure. The towns around Dayton are pretty safe. There is some spillover from the gangs and drugs in Dayton...

Carry at the Air Force National Museum in Dayton, OH.

Grew up in Dayton and remember when they built the first hangar. Attended the Boy Scout Bicentennial Jamboree at the museum in 1976. Plan on at least two days to see everything. It is an awesome museum.

Smith and Wesson M&P 9 M2.0 Safety Lever

Done. Installed the Apex Trigger and Safety. The Sear block already had the Safety Detent and spring installed. Pistol had zero lube but that has been corrected. Function check was good. The Apex trigger is a huge improvement over the stock trigger. Hope to get to the range tomorrow and wring it...

      Greentown Gun Show Apr 20 & 21

Update. The show is in the 4H livestock barn. It was a wee bit chilly but a good number of vendors. Got a good deal on some mags. One vendor had a box of very used Lorcin, High Point and Jennings pistols for $85 each. Overall, prices were typical for local gun shows. One dealer had very nice...

      Greentown Gun Show Apr 20 & 21

Eight miles from Kokomo to Greentown is going to be rough. Be careful driving by Brian's Surplus. That place pulls you in, and you will want to spend money.

Smith and Wesson M&P 9 M2.0 Safety Lever

Only watched one video so far. No parts were lost during the install. I've just built enough AR-15s to know that launching springs and detents happen.

Smith and Wesson M&P 9 M2.0 Safety Lever

All three Safety parts are on order. Videos look like it should be a simple task. Or until a spring or detent goes flying off into the great unknown.
