I had a similar experience as Old Dog but with my Marlin 1894. Also broke the scope in the process. Loctite has held for years but I always wonder if the last shot might have knocked them loose again.
Yep, the kids and I watch it. Every time he starts to put a large tree right up front we laugh and say noooo! Always turns out looking good in the end.
That sucks! Might be as simple as some grit preventing the trigger from resetting. I have had mine apart with a little help from YouTube. Not the first thing you want to do to a new revolver. Good luck.
We play a similar version with pvc pipes stuck in the lake bottom in knee-deep water. Direct hit on the can equals 3 point. Hit on the post that knocks the can off equals one point. Catching the can negates the points. It got too confusing having to catch the frisbee.
