I took to casting my own and being a lead scrounging fool to cut costs. It's a bit more work but I shoot pretty much all I want. I do enjoy a good .22 though.
I can use my 550's as progressive and put out 1000 rounds a day if needed (pistol rounds) or run one round through at a time (rifle rounds). Lots of options in one machine.
Make no mistake. Going Dillon Blue is an investment, but the best money I have ever spent.
Trail Boss was a great powder for CAS and reduced loads. I really liked it in .45-70. But, alas, it's no more. Hopefully production starts again someday.
Oak worm. Caterpillars about an inch, inch and a half long. It looked like it was raining green from all the little pieces of leaves falling. Hit us three years in a row. Those closest to the cabin lived, for the most part. I fertilized the hell out of them.
