      Cost effective shooting.

I took to casting my own and being a lead scrounging fool to cut costs. It's a bit more work but I shoot pretty much all I want. I do enjoy a good .22 though.

      Single Stage/Turret/Progressive

I can use my 550's as progressive and put out 1000 rounds a day if needed (pistol rounds) or run one round through at a time (rifle rounds). Lots of options in one machine. Make no mistake. Going Dillon Blue is an investment, but the best money I have ever spent.

Probably a dumb question in regards to handgun foregrips.

Saw one chain fire at a cowboy shoot. Smokey, but no injuries.

      Hummingbirds Yet

Had an Orchard Oriole up in Michigan Saturday. My wife cut up an orange and the female came out of hiding too. Pretty birds.

Should I call the DNR ?

Call. Other than one CO in LaGrange County (a known total pri**), my interactions have been great. I have called before.

      Reduced 30-06 hunting load

Trail Boss was a great powder for CAS and reduced loads. I really liked it in .45-70. But, alas, it's no more. Hopefully production starts again someday.

      Firewood Season 2024

Oak worm. Caterpillars about an inch, inch and a half long. It looked like it was raining green from all the little pieces of leaves falling. Hit us three years in a row. Those closest to the cabin lived, for the most part. I fertilized the hell out of them.

A pic across the road from my cabin. All oak. Not one living tree. No shortage of firewood.

      Cowboy Action Shooting

New club trying to start up east of Fort Wayne. Check out the Hoosier Outlaws at the Fort Wayne Rifle and Revolver Club range. They shoot the second Saturday starting this month. If you ever wanted to see it, this would be a good time. Not many shooters yet with some very new. If you don't look...
