      Picked up some Cobra radios in a bulk pack for pretty cheap a while back. As with all of them it says it goes really far, but I tried it out in a lightly wooded part of town 2 miles from another Cobra radio and couldn't get through.       at least make an attept to stay on topic. I would think as long as the lower is machined to mil-spec's it should be ok.

      What HAVE you carried?

      EDC G19. Used to be the XDSC but the Springfield XD subcompact isnt really that much smaller than the Glock when you stand it up on the sights next to one another. XD was heavier too.

      IF you are looking for a place to skimp, let the Barrel and BCG be the last to skimp on.

      Watch out for stuff that says MPI...that doesn't really mean anything unless it has been HP tested. You don't have to spend a fortune on a BCM BCG to get a good one. Shoot, even my Del-ton 316 Echo came with a HPT/MPI BCG.

      A buddy of mine actually got his Durango tires Re-treaded. I thought you could only get semi tire retreads but I guess there is a company here in the states retreading regular truck sized tires

      If you really want the XDSC consider getting the next bigger size and cutting down the grip and buying the short mag. You get a better sight radius and it doesn't look like it has a Chromosome abnormality and looks better balanced.
