The kids did good last weekend with 1,835 birds checked in. I live in Dearborn Co. and the kids here checked in 51. The kids in Perry Co. where my farm is checked in 34. Great job!
I haven't been seeing anything in the fields around my part of Perry County. I know they are around though. I figure they are finding enough to eat in the woods here.
I like .45 ACP well enough that I keep a couple. An old Spanish made Firestorm 5" my Dad gave me and my current Glock 21 Gen 5 that I really like. I have had several 1911's over the years and enjoyed every one of them.
So there I was, fresh new Stingers in hand I just bought from Dave's Guns in Holland. I shoot 5 and most were FTE's. Time to strip off the red dot and mount and go through the gun and figure it out. Deep cleaned everything, oiled it up and put it back together. Shot 10 more and same deal. I then...
So, I went to the range today and took my one remaining box of the Stingers I sighted the G44's red dot in with, fired 5 rounds and they worked flawlessly. I then fired 5 rounds of the new packaged Stingers and they all choked, all FTE's. That, to me, confirms I got a bad batch of Stingers. I am...
I ditched the SCT19 frame because I hated how it felt. I bought an OEM G19 Gen 3 frame from Black Phoenix Customs and put my AIM Surplus Slide assembly on it. Now I have 2 G19's. :rockwoot:
Last weekend at the Farm, no gobbles Friday morning, lots of gobbling Saturday morning, and then back to nothing Sunday morning. It's frustrating to say the least.
I got these 2 on my camera in our upper field on April 3rd. They were up there for quite awhile, but I haven't heard any gobbling yet. I know they are gobbling, I just haven't gotten out to listen much.
I have shot CCI Mini-Mags and Stingers for years and they are my go to for .22 LR. The Stingers worked great until I swapped out the trigger and then put the original trigger back in. Now its a basically a single shot. It still goes bang every time, but not cycling much at all. I will clean the...
There is a place on US-50 close to Versailles State Park that has a couple full sized, full color 3-D Bigfoot statues for sale. I want one in the worst way for the Farm. They appear to be wooden, so if they are hand carved, I expect them to be quite expensive.
So, I have a Glock 44 that was reliable with just about everything I shoved through it. I then put a red dot on it with a Strike Industries SPUR mount. I knew going into it that the added weight would make a difference and I would have to run hotter ammo. It ran very well with older CCI Stingers...
Ordered a Glock 19 Gen 3 frame from Black Phoenix Customs for my AIM RMR cut slide assy. I got the Holosun 507C and Roscoe Bloodline barrel for it over the weekend.
My daughter was down at our property in Perry County last weekend and picked up a tick on her upper chest area, if you get my meaning. Fortunately, I did not have to get involved.....
