Thanks guys. I'd prefer to support someone local... Also because I can generally walk in and either wait or drop off and pick up for same day. If it's a small enough shop, maybe I'll even get to learn something. Knowledge is Power.
That could work. I just need to figure out how I'm going to coat these lowers and if it will fill the engraving when I'm done. Right now they are bare sandblasted 7076 AL. They will be gifts when complete. I sadly don't know much about laser engraving. I wonder if the picture is just provided?
Is there any place that could engrave a EGA into a lower receiver for me? I tried searching but all I kept finding was engraving requirements for tax stamps and all that.
Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I wanted to go MTAC from the start, but they do not make a holster that will fit either of my .45 XDM's in 4.5 or 3.8. When I called to confirm, the dude on the phone flat out said "Well, if you want to pay about $4000 for tooling and materials, for us to get...
Can anyone give me a ball park on what kind of pricing would two lowers would bring? They are already sandblasted. Am I looking at $20 a piece? $50? $100?
I stopped at the place in Bedford before it closed. Good people. Lots of really random stuff. Some of which I don't even know if they realize what they have. That's why I love those places. I was able to replace my old 20MM dummy round. Picked up a box of target to support the locals, and got a...
I love my XDM's. I love how they shoot. Had the shield I picked up had the safety features of the XDM and shot as well, at the range, I'd own a few of those in place of my XDM's. I absolutely love how the M&P and Shield fit in my hand. The curve of the trigger, all of it. I've never held a more...
I went to the store the other day and still wore my 3.8" XDM .45 as I always do. I ended up needing to help the wife with the new baby, so I carried her in the Tula carrier and I just wore my XDM at the 5 o'clock instead of 4. It was easier to conceal. But carrying the baby in the Tula to help...
I worked there for 8 years. It's a good store, probably the best in the district as far as service goes. There's always that "someone" to prove that wrong, but if you'd been there before April of '13 when I quit, chances are I helped you at some point. I was a flooring specialist there. In all...
Actually... They can say no PETS. They cannot deny service animals, and god forbid someone walk up and ask some fatty on a scooter if the ****zu sitting in the basket is a service animal. You'd get sued in a heartbeat. I worked for an $80 Billion a year retail store for a good while , and they...
Highsmith ordered me one of the 3.3's for their rental case. It shoots well, but it's a lot to keep on target. I'd really like to get my hands on one of those 4's. I ended up buying another XDM in 3.8 flavor out of impatience anyways. But I can see the XDS being my backup. :)
Again, customs and border protection in some weird way fall under the usda. There's no reason for them to not order body armor. That's just a generalization. That's like saying "America is ordering body armor!" Lol
You know, there's an awful lot more knee jerk reactions and tin foil hat wearers here than I thought I'd see. I guess I'll get used to it.
When I was registered as a Customs and Border Clearing Agent through the customs dept. for the military for a mission overseas all that was done under the...
