I don't appreciate being scolded from behind a curtain of anonymity. Secret courts are just the type of thing that this forum would be rabidly against but yet we're practicing the same behavior. I can accept personal rebuke and have been adequately rebuked by the members of this forum but I...

You say that I can see my infractions, can you tell me where to find that? And for the record I am not arguing the rule, I'm not even disagreeing with the rule, but seeing as how the whole rest of the site is one enormous forum it is too easy to just get into a rhythm and click reply without...

I'm not aware that I've ever made that mistake before. Perhaps mods have a better memory than I.

I made one mistake and erroneously posted instead of PMed. The response is heavy-handed.

Can you tell me which moderator from this screenshot? It is just a question mark.

I paid to support this site. I've spent thousands of dollars with members through the classifieds. Yet for some reason if I ask a simple question for clarification about an ad listed in the classifieds I get banned. Some chicken s*** moderator who don't identify themselves when they ban you is...

"Civil War" or "War of Northern Aggression"

The term Civil War simply refers to an internal conflict within the nation as opposed to a conflict with another Nation. BigRed made that same response to my statement in a number of different threads but I never engaged because there is no reasoning with that kind of dispute over terminology...

Funny Political Picture Thread Part VII **** Diapers and Purple Pancakes

I just had a horrific thought... What if that last point is how Obama will sweep aside all pretext of constitutionality and operating on the pretext of a popular mandate establish himself as dictator in chief?

The Texas GOP is pushing for a referendum to decide if the state will secede from the US

I suspect if Texas actually tries this it'll be the start of the Second Civil War.

The Real Costs of Electric Car Ownership - CNET

I also think there's still tracks under the pavement in parts of the city because instead of pulling them up they just paved over them. I recall a stretch of N. College Ave. I think where the steel tracks are working their way back up through the pavement and if your tire catches it can divert...

The Real Costs of Electric Car Ownership - CNET

Why not indeed? A look into the archives shows that Indy actually had trolleys a century ago but the age of the automobile displaced them and the infrastructure was removed. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways but you'll never get younger generations to admit it.

How do we go about real compromise?

That's a valid point. We're not united, like AT ALL and the states have basically become arbitrary borders but they almost cannot function without federal intervention. I think I said in another thread that if a state actually wanted to secede from the union the first step is stop accepting...
