I have a Springfield XD-45 GAP that I bought on a whim. Have shot it quite a bit and I do reload them. Nice shooting round but with so many different calibers out there it's now a safe queen.
I did a Grendel build on an AR platform. Used an upper assembly 20 inch stainless fluted barrel from Red X Arms. Very accurate. First time out put 3 of 4 shots within the same hole at 100 yards using Hornady factory loads.
Need Help, Want to change the dust cover on my AR and all the instructions I see out there talk about removing a little C clip. Mine does not have that. Instead, the barrel end of the rod has a larger end on it that keeps it from migrating back. Has anyone seen that and how to you get it off...
I have the XD in .45 ACP, .45 GAP, .40 S&W, and 9mm sub compact. They are all great shooters. The .40 service was my first and favorite. You cannot go wrong with it. Never had a fail with any of them. I have shot everything from steel case crap to my own reloads and they just eat it up. Cheers!
Took the gun apart and I think I found the problem. There is a small wire spring that holds the slide lock button down. It has some slop to it and was allowing the stop move up.
Bought a Police trade in SW99 and took it out to the range today. I like how it shoots, however it would randomly lock back on the slide lock.
Is there anyone familiar with this gun that may have some insight on why its doing this?
Thanks
I sympathize with your frustration, but shi...stuff happens. Black Friday is a free for all and you have to expect it will turn stupid very quickly. I just bought a gun from there about a week ago and was very pleased with the transaction.
I have a new Lyman reloading book, and going through it I see for the different bullet load charts there are two numbers in the top right hand corner of each chart.
One says BC: and the other says SD:.
Is there anyone familiar with this book and what do those numbers represent?
Thanks
Just used Bud's Guns for the first time. It was a straight forward process and would do it again. Only used them because my LGS didn't have what I wanted. Still used them to receive my order and transfer.
