Due to Trapper Johns reply, I had to do some research on where different Powder’s are made. Looks like depending on the powder type of where it is manufactured. I will look into Alliant or Accurate. Point taken... thanks trapper
That’s a valid point trapper. I didn’t even look to see where it’s made and should. If you want things made in America you have to buy made in America. Do you have a recommendation for US made pistol powder?
Stopped by the Kokomo gun show today and picked up pound of ultimate pistol by Lovex. The guy at the booth said it’s comparable to Universal but cleaner. Has anyone used it for 9mm and have an opinion on it?
Just went through a couple hundred rounds today with the above listed recipe. No problems feeding and no signs of over pressure. I did notice that the ejected cases didn’t go far. Would that indicate a light load or possible too tight of crimp? Thinking of bumping up the powder a tenth or two
I am loading 124 grain TC hitek coated bullets and have a question on COL. Could not find much data specific to coated bullets. Eggleston munitions had 1.100 on COL and universal powder 3.8 to 4.3. They did not drop in my M&P barrel and have room to turn until 1.088. How short can I load them...
I found my deal. Ended up with a preowned but never used Dillon 550c that came with Lee 45 acp dies. Paid $350. I bought a Hornady manual, used digital scale, primer tray, tumbler with separator, lube, 500 coated bullets, 1000 primers, and a jar of power for another $325. I have what I need to...
Owner of local gun shop said he gets a few presses from time to time but they usually don’t sit around for long. I’m going to run over next week and see what he has.
I have been reading a lot of reviews. I really like the Dillon 550 but adding everything I would want started getting pricey. I might opt for the Lee classic turret. I like the idea of switching calibers easily without having to readjust a lot of stuff or spend a ton of cash to do it.
I am a member at deer creek conservation club. I try to shoot once a week or so. I don’t always have someone that is able to go with me so I thought if someone local wanted a place to shoot every now and again. I would be willing to meet an ingo member there for some plinking. Would need to be...
