I know the "don't move there" comments sound kinda salty and there may be a good reason he's moving there but it's not an ideal situation. I'm guessing he isn't after anything special and doesn't intend to break the bank so you might point him toward a Taurus 85 and advise him to at least...
Ugly Stik or Zebco, depending on preference. I like open-faced reels because they're easier to work with and, more importantly, easier to diagnose when you screw up the first few times. As for hooks/bait, ask around and see what's doing good this year; sometimes (real) worms are good and other...
Interested in seeing how this stacks up to the similar offering that PSA just fixed and re-released, I've heard good things since they made changes. The ability to use Glock mags, even G19 mags, is definitely an edge over the PSA.
Just to be nosey, what do you do that has you working 36 hour shifts? My first guess would either be fire or medic.
Feel free not to answer if you don't want to, I'm just genuinely curious.
Ok, so I'll begin by saying that I'm a bit of an EDC nut. I like to combine the most tools/gadgets/useful items into the smallest packages possible because the feeling of being "Johnny on the spot" with the odd doo-dad that someone needs is a good one for me. These aren't the worst idea I've...
Are there any places near Bloomington that sell 6.5 Grendel ammo? In my travels, I've found that Rural King in both Bloomington and Bedford and Dunham's in Bedford have Hornady Black for $1+ per round. That's all good but some plinking ammo would be really nice to have. I don't really have the...
If I can, I'd like to leave the RMR on. I already have a handful of guns that need dialed in.
I plan on doing taco holsters. I got the material last night to build the coffeebum taco press. Am I understanding correctly that holsters with adjustable retention need the flat piece of wood on the...
More questions I've come up with:
1) Obviously, people put weapon lights in their press to make light bearing holsters so I'm pretty sure that's not gonna be an issue, but what about the RMR? Can it stand up to that kind of pressure? Should I just hang the portion of the slide that has the RMR...
Add diesel pickups to your list, thanks to my generation. The funny thing is that I wanted a diesel when I first got my license just to be different, by the time I graduated, all the rich kids had them and I couldn't afford one due to their new-found popularity.
Agreed. If/when I'm ready for another truck, it won't come from a dealer and possibly won't come from this century. I just can't afford what they want for a 4wd base model. Don't even get me started on my hatred for V6s in a full size truck or SUV.
I do now and then, when I'm bored. I'm not in...
