I got a new to me rifle, want to know how to load it.

Not an old wivestail. I have been shooting muzzleloaders since 1978, and have been shooting at the national matches down at Friendship every year since the early 80s. You will see lots of folks doing it. Hold your muzzle next to a leaf or clump of grass and you will see it move when you fire...

I got a new to me rifle, want to know how to load it.

Make sure you have a decent loading rod with a jag on the end? If you wipe the bore with a slightly damp patch, followed by a dry patch after each shot, loading will be easier and you be less likely to get a ball or ramrod stuck in your bore. I sometimes use my drying patch, as the damp patch...

So.. what are you reloading at the moment??

Just finished loading 65 rounds of 44mag reduced loads for pleasant paper punching. Also loaded 100 rounds of 357 magnum in a loading I found most accurate In my Marlin Lever gun. Will be testing them in various handguns to see which ones it shoots the best in. Hopefully it will be my Ruger...

      Indiana State Police Handgun Collection

I have an Indiana State Police S&W 66. I got it new in the box from a retired IN state policeman. I will never part with it. I have a 4 inch Model 10 also (not police marked). I love 4 inch K frames.

      Concealed carry increase

I wonder how many folks want a permit to carry, but live in places where getting one is overly burdensome or next to impossible. It's good to live in Indiana, relatively speaking.

      1903a3

Nice rifle. I have an 1903a3 I bought to shoot 100 yard high power matches at Brownsburg and Fall Creek, back in the 80s. It had an Aperture sight and hooded front with interchangeable post put on it by previous owner. It gave me a beating, but was fun. I subsequenty got a Garand from the CMP...

      Slingshots. Old is new again...

I really got into slingshots a few years back. Started with wrist rockets, then homemade board cuts. I bought a few online also. There is all kinds of patterns on the internet. Then I made a few with natural tree forks. I really like the natural forks if you can find a good one. I found that I...

What is a millennial, boomer etc.

Always wondered about these generation names. Being a 67 year old boomer myself, I copied them so I don't forget. Thanks for posting.
