This old air compressor was in the barn when I bought the house. 2 years ago, the electric motor failed. It was made prior to 1948, and parts for it ran out in the '80s, according to the old man at the shop I took it to for repairs. I have just bought a boring new compressor. Is there any value...
Silly question. I paid off my truck, and just got the title in the mail. The letter that came with it said to go to motor vehicles and have the lien holder removed. Is it worth the hassle and the fee to have that done? Do I really need to do that for some obscure reason?
Please be patient, and read it all.
After a long illness, my wife died on January 18th. Of all the things that come after your spouse dies, this one came out of the blue -
I no longer have a desire to carry a gun. Been having a firearm handy at all times for the last 20 years or so, and these...
Seems like I have worn out most of my .327FM brass. Starline doesn't have any, and doesn't seem to be making any, either.
Any one got a line on where to find some? Not at Midsouth, Midway, Powder Valley, Brownells, or any of the other stores I have bookmarked for supplies. Might just have to...
How it started, July 2008...
How it ended, March 2023...
Pepe le Pew, he was a good dog, my best friend right thru it all.
Across the bridge there's no more sorrow
Across the bridge there's no more pain
The sun will shine across the river
And you'll never be unhappy again
What ONE, yes just ONE, revolver in either .32S&W or .32S&W Long, would you recommend?
I like the .32, and have several .327FM guns. I like shooting the older rounds, kinda like plinking with a .22. I do not care for cleaning out the nasty ring that builds up in the long chambers from shooting...
Does any one like eggnog with booze in it? Sweetie and I like Evan Williams Eggnog, but it is getting hard to find. Only one bottle this year.
What's your favorite concoction?
wellhell. Went to the barn to do some tractor work, and the lift won't lift. Heh, no air. Mebbe the pressure switch got stuck with the current weather changes, it has before. Nothing so easy.
I have power to the motor, but the motor won't run. spin it by hand, and there is a not nice yucky...
Our grandson has won a stupid prize, and is currently in the IDOC Reception Diagnostic Center. Any idea how long is normal/usual/standard for a person to be processed and moved to the next place? He has been there approx 1 month, and we would like to visit, but cain't while he is there.
Thanks
I have a major desire to have a particular gun. A short barreled single action revolver in .45 Colt. THIS one -
That is a Cimarron Arms "Doc Holiday Thunderer". 3 1/2" barrel, 6 rounds of .45 Colt. I want it for the recoil therapy, the implied 'cool' factor, and just for fun. It is...
My church is just starting up a safety/security group. One of the topics is being ready for injuries. My question is, what is really necessary, and needful, to have on hand for all types of injuries? From splinters and minor cuts (think kids horsing around) to elderly person falling in the icy...
I have a Freedom Ordnance FX-9 with a suppressor and brace. Overall length is ~24". I would like to carry this, but I can't figure out how. I have been looking into a single point sling with QD button. I know nothing about single point slings and if that is feasible or not. Concealment is NOT a...
Yeah, I know....a matter of opinion, mainly.
Anyways, I have two pistols that the triggers don't fit my finger. OEM triggers, curved and hinged. I want to replace them. My choices come down to getting a flat faced trigger, or one with a standard-ish curved trigger. Hundred bucks a pop, least...
I have a full size M&P M2.0 with 4.6" barrel. I am really wanting to use the .45 Super round. Any useful advice for making this work? Wolff Springs has the springs and guide rod.
Thanks, y'all!
{Yes, I asked over on that forum, too}
My dad, 84, missed deer season because he can't get his 270 sighted. He had a high dollar Leupold scope on it, he thought it was bad, sent it in for repairs, but nothing changed. He bought another scope, nothing fancy, and has the same problem. At 25yds, rifle is 6" high and 4" left, no matter...
Darling daughter is in a rough spot in her life right now. Last month, we kept her two dogs for a few weeks. Now, we have other "guests" that belong to her. My sweetie ain't gone upstairs in 3 weeks now because of them. And I am not happy, 'cause I had to feed them tonight. What is this...
We have 3 full bathrooms in our home. It was great when the kids were still here, but they flew the coop years ago. Nowadays, my Sweetie gets worked up that the upstairs toilet will evaporate and leave deposits behind, because it is not used enough.
Short of going upstairs on a weekly/monthly...
On 31 July 21, I bought my first shotgun. {Long story}. After much research, I went with a CZ Drake in 28ga. Few practice shoots later, and I realized I choose poorly. So I got my 2nd shotgun - Tristar Viper G2 Sporting with adjustable comb. This is not a good time to try to find ammo to...
Hey, y'all! Anybody have any first hand experience with these gizmos? My wife has been treated for emphysema / COPD for a few years before she had stage 4 lung cancer. At times, now, she really has difficulty breathing. (Just fyi, lung cancer was successfully treated and she has been cancer free...
I am tired of fighting and spraying weeds. I have a gravel shooting range in the backyard, 50 yards long, 15 feet wide for 12 yards, then 4 feet wide for the rest. All around the barn, and the driveway. I use RM43 total vegetation control, and end up spraying everything 3 or 4 times a year. That...
