      Gloves while shooting

I used to use Mechanix, but after having used them for work Nitrile dipped cut resistant are my favs, unbeatable dexterity imo. Something similar to these, I prefer Velcro cuffs, but those are hard to find these days.

      Boraii for me as well.

Travel to WI from IN - sidearm ok?

From what I recall the area immediately around your car is ok in Illinois as well, so as long as you pay at the pump, and don't have to see you could get out to fill up, without having to remove your gun.

      Glock 29 for EDC?

It's a perfectly functional, though not the most logical carry.

      870 replacement barrel 18.5" with screw-in-chokes

Shot gun ghost rings are grossly over rated imo.

      9mm or 38 derringer ?

The NAA in 22mag Is smaller, and more shootable. Something like LCP is pretty much the same size, more shootable, similar weight or lighter, semi auto with 5 more rounds. If you are talking about a bond arms derringer they are bricks, big and heavy, you can get in to 9mm semi autos for there...

SIG going after Springfield over the Hellcat Magazine patent infringement

I don't think Sig will win, but if they do, my guess is they are just going to get a cut for each hellcat/hellcat mag sold.

      AR-15 build head turner.

As a kid I always though the M4 carbine featured in T2 was the be all end all of AR15 coolness, and that the 20in longboys where super lame. In that last few years after spending some time with full rifle length AR15s I've really fallen in love with them.

Buy it for life, do it all .357?

What's your priority and realistic roll for this gun. There are plenty that "can" do it all, but each does something better than the others. Anything between a 3in model 60 and 5in Nframe are pretty flexible for most rolls.

      Is HK a thing anymore?

I love the MP5 from all its incredible appearances in fiction. As a gun it's pretty great but it's performance to cost ratio is pretty wonky compared to a lot of other stuff these days. I like the VP70 for its appearance in Aliens, but the gun itself is pretty trash. The P7 is super cool from...

      Importing long gun from Canada???

You will eat up that savings and probably then some, importing them. You will still have to wait for your tax stamp. You will still have all the paperwork and wait associated with an sbr or sbs, as well as the wait, expense, and extra paper work associated with importing them.

I Think People Have Lost Their Minds!

      A 66, even a rough one, hasn't been a $100 gun in a long, long time.

Now might be a good time to get magazines while they're cheap

For real use? Not great, but not "pro mag" bad. I'd squirrel them away as an "investment" to capitalize on by selling during the next mag shortage.

      Gun belt needed

Any Smith Fans in Here?... Smith & Wesson Model 60 Pro Series..

Awesome, and gorgeous gun, but I certainly hope you arn't carrying that beauty in that trash heap nylon holster lying behind it.

Palmetto State Armory 7.62x39 Waffle Mags

I hope these end up being great. I'd love to be able to get top tier poly AK mags for that price. If they end up being wonderful, 20 rounders would be amazing.

      Survival Backpack for a teenager

As I've grown ive shifted my bag away from "survival" to shorter term "comfort and day savers" . The odds of me suddenly being thrown into a situation where I will be isolated long enough I'm going to need to purify water, trap, fish etc to survive are extremely low. The odds of an emergency...

      Weird Idea - Airplane Rifle

That would be a very practical choice. Could always add a 22lr chamber adapter and 50-100 rounds for just a touch more weight.

      Recent issue with Brownells

The lack of follow up sucks, but they are handling it correctly. Until FedEx finishes there investigation, they have no proof that someone didn't steal it off your porch, or that you didn't receive it and decide to keep it AND get your money back.
