If I buy from a gun shop, I check out all that I can in the shop; I look at the outside of the slide, barrel, grips, sights, trigger, trigger guard, and mag(s), then I usually ask to have them take it apart so I can look at the entire barrel, mag well, springs, frame, etc. If there are any...
I have not used the Hevi-Shot Dead Coyote load for 12 gauges. I would be wary of anything for shotguns that claims to have lethal knockdown power at 70+ yards tho, that is a long way for a shotgun load to travel and still be effective against something such as a coyote. If you hunt coyotes and...
Nice inventory to the two who posted pics. I also keep an updated inventory, (not on my laptop in case it ever gets stolen, I don't want someone who stole my laptop, knowing what they may have missed), in a couple places, not just in my home, of manufacturer(s), (all manufacturer(s) like on my...
Ya know, after you told me you were going to paint your Mosin the first time, I had my doubts but it turned out pretty well, then the sun brought out the cosmoline and kinda screwed your paint job. So when you said you wanted to re-paint it, I didn't think you'd get lucky enough to have it turn...
Thanks to E5RANGER375, Tactical Dave, Dholder, and swatdoc for sharing your knowledge in this class. I had a great time meeting all of you and learned some great things in the class. Thanks to Don for allowing me to share your tent. Thanks Tyler for the knife sharpening and for the survival...
I've always caught snapping turtles the same way I catch catfish. The thing about turtles is that they like to bury themselves in the mud and under submerged trees when they've been hooked so if you have one on, do what ever you can to keep it up off the bottom or you're gonna be doing a lot of...
Man, that's nuts. Glad he wasn't a jumpy cop and just said hell with the gun and decided to tase you first. As said before, it's not really funny, but since it all went well and no shots fired or arrests made, it's pretty darn funny.
Saw your post in the thread about the guy who painted his .22, when can we expect to see your new paint job on your Mosin since you stripped the last one? Also, congrats again on the baby boy that's coming!!! Let me know when you want to shoot on Tuesday, I can't wait to get this new Ruger .44...
I think the newer models are just as good as the older models. I've never owned a CZ82 or a CZ52, but I have shot a CZ82 before, I realise that makes me no expert, but, I think the CZ75B and the CZ75 SP01 Tactical are great guns and are well priced for the quality of them as well and they are...
I hate movies that have the sound effects like metal when ever someone moves a gun or picks one up. I also hate the fake recoil on guns in movies (or lack of recoil) when someone shoots as well as when a guy shoots somebody and the guy who got shot flies back about 6 feet or more. It drives me...
For my friend's wedding a year or so ago, (if you're reading this, you know who you are) had a debate on whether or not his wife would be pissed if we both hip-carried in his wedding, we decided against it but I think he may have still carried on his ankle. A few weeks ago I scared the hell out...
I wish I could've made it to this one but I had to go in to work early. Hopefully I can make it to the next one. It looks and sounds like it was a great time though.
My new plan to help with my weightloss/staying fit routine is:
Monday: push ups, sit ups, pull ups, and running a few miles
Tuesday: 20+ mins of stretching and lifting focusing on legs and abs
Wednesday: push ups, sit ups, pull ups, and running
Thursday: 20+ mins of stretching, and lifting...
Between work (unloading trucks for lowe's) and keeping track of what I eat, and how often I eat, I'm down to 190 lbs. Now it's time to start working on making sure I stay this way by continuing to work out and making sure I watch what I eat. Good luck to all with your goals.
