      A friend of mine recently mad a pretty good score at an old, independent tire shop. They charged $20 for a 5 gal. bucket that was mostly usable weights.

      Jumping into .243 Winchester

      I have an older Savage 110 that I've used IMR 4350 in for many years. Loads from 40gr. up to max manual loads have always given me excellent accuracy with 100 gr. bullets.

      Found this site back when pistol caliber rifles were being debated. I was surprised at the difference 10-20 inches makes in a handgun caliber.

      Price reminder

      I recently finished off a brick of Winchester large rifle primers that had a $12.95 price sticker on the box. Bought 'em at A-Z reloading that used to be on Indy's west side.

      Ground venison prep?

      We will sometimes mix half & half with ground beef. Other times we just grind it & freeze in 2# packages to use in chili, jerky or whatever. Also, if you don't already have one, lick up a stuffer for summer sausage, snack sticks, etc.

      What meat processing equipment would you never give up?

      For me, my grinder and my 5# stuffer get the most use. I have a slicer but, for the last several years, I've used ground meat for jerky.
