I have had some 1911 mag springs go soft, So I have gotten into the habit of rotating mags, usually every 2 weeks or so. If I leave the house, they are loaded to capacity, but if they are in the house, I just keep 12 in the mag on a 15 round mag. If I can't get the job done with 2 12 rd mags and...
I either purchase firearms with the ambi-saftey or install them. Back in the 90's when I was big into competition, I tried an ambi slide release and mag release. The mag release worked well, but the slide release kept coming loose so I ditched it and learned to do it with my index finger.
I typically strong side carry with an OWB holster. Given the area you intend to camp and the type of critters you are likely to encounter, IMHO, you should consider a large caliber revolver instead of an auto.
I haven't. I worked on the ejector a bit, but not the spring. "Back in the day" when I was doing 2 gun and 3 gun matches, I used different loads based on distance or how the RO had the steel set (easy or hard to knock over). The factory spring worked with all my loads, so I left it alone. I'm...
I'm with 2A_Tom. I happen to own a Marlin Camp 45, and it is a darn good shooter! Now if the bet was findin the brass it spits out, I'll pass. I've never shot a gun that throws them further then the Camp 45.
I don't think anyone believe Remington ramping up production will solve the shortage. I do think it will help make a little more ammo available, but folks will snap up what they can and the shortage will continue. It didn't start overnight, and it won't end overnight.
Personally, I'm glad I was...
Sad but true. I mainly go to the show to get bullets from Vance Bullets, but have purchased a few party poppers there. Now I get my party poppers from Rural king or the local shop.
Agreed on Pocket veto. Where I was confused was your statement "Bills passed by both houses become law regardless of signature." That was misleading to me because the Governor can veto a bill, and it will only become law if the House and Senate pick it back up and vote on it again. If they do...
I am not sure I understand your comments in point 1. I did a quick search and what I found seems to contradict your statement? What am I missing?

Exactly. The fuel surcharge was added in the early '70's during the oil embargo, but I don't recall local trucking companies adding it onto my bill for a load of stone until 12 years ago when fuel again jumped exponentially. Since then, it didn't drop off because they didn't have to. This...
I drove 90 minutes each way to attend the last 2 and was disappointed both times so I won't be going back until I start hearing it's closer to what the 1500 used to be.
They have no problem raising rates, but haven't done anything to improve the parking areas. Looks like I'll be skipping the 1500 at least until there are more dealers there and prices start getting back to where they should be.
