You might suggest that it's a useful thing to have, even if she doesn't intend to carry. I have mine, and though I don't carry, I can transport my boyfriend's carry gun if necessary (or any other gun for that matter). It's been useful a few times.
I went in and applied today and there was somebody else in there as well. Don't know if it was necessarily because of the election or not, but it was funny. I live in a pretty small town, I didn't really expect to see anybody in there at the exact same time.
I wouldn't want to know, personally. My boyfriend does carry and I didn't know right away nor would I have wanted to. I have no problem with guns and never really did - but if he'd just pulled the gun out and tried to hand it to me on our first date things probably wouldn't have worked out so...
