I was wondering the same thing. I'm on my second Bersa (new one is a Thunder .380). My old one died with a broken slide. I found out they started their lifetime warranty just after I bought my old one. That really explains my luck perfectly.
I love the looks of the Marlin 1895 and the mares leg. Don't have either, but I'd probably consider trading my wife for the pair. Uh, please don't tell her I said that.
One would assume (I know), if you treat them like the communistic state of Illinois, lock the gun in the trunk (I have a lockbox in my van), you should be ok.
For the record, I'm not an attorney, nor did I state in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
I just saw this "free giveaway" for a Marlin 1895. YEAH BUDDY! Sign me up. Wait, it's modernized? I'm sorry, if this is modern, I'll pass.
What are the opinions on this one? Grab it or pass it?
I'll have to say it's my Taurus 1911, for two reasons.
1. It's a 1911! A 1911 has been on my bucket list for years.
2. The story behind the purchase. I had just be released from an Indy hospital the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and on my way to another hospital closer to home for therapy...
