      Fall Creek Sporting Clays #2

I'm looking to participate in my first official event. https://app.scorechaser.com/tournament-ACMB0TGJBI0TA2 From the looks of it, I dont need to register for all three events, I can just register for the 10am event of 100 targets, correct? Is anyone here registered already? Will I be...

Sweet. I’d like to ge there nearly as often. My thought is to get there closer to 10 - but not sure when the crowd shows up.

At what point should I contact the ATF with questions?

Mine took 274 days - Efile - Single Shot Trust - just got it in March. I called a couple times during the process and all they ever told me was “it’s pending” so it was a complete waste of time calling them. There is a sticky post here that has NFA wait times. I found that to be very accurate.

      Sporting Clay - Shotgun

Almost a year to the day I finally pulled the trigger and got a Caesar Guerini Summit Sport. It just felt right. I’ve started taking some lessons and I’m curious about opportunities to get out with others to shoot more. I have a couple friends in the area who shoot I think but looking to get...

OpenAI / ChatGPT and the 2nd Amendment

I was expecting it to say it couldn’t do it or some other response. This was a surprise.

OpenAI / ChatGPT and the 2nd Amendment

This is the unedited response. The 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution grants citizens the right to bear arms, which serves as an important tool for self-defense against a tyrannical government. In the event that the government becomes oppressive, the ability for citizens to arm...

Pentagon Tracking Suspected Chinese Spy Balloon Over the US

I haven’t read any of this thread (sorry) but now that it’s 200+ posts long I feel it’s time to ask this? If we shoot at the balloon, do we think a 9mm has enough penetration power at that distance or should we go with the obvious .40SW?

      Pistol Brace Info

There is no way Im filing in the first 100 days or so. I will make that decision closer to May - and in the mean time join the fight. If I'm legal with an application, I dont care how long the backlog is (I dont intend to sell)

      Pistol Brace Info

Also - can you still use it if you haven’t applied yet? Can I take it to a public range if I haven’t filed for the stamp yet?

      Pistol Brace Info

Great thread. Thank you. If I remove the brace and install a buffer tube thingy, I can ignore the rest and keep it a pistol correct?

New BATF ruling on stabilizing braces today

Exactly. So not only do you need to notify the ATF if you leave Indiana, you can’t go through MI or IL. If it’s a pistol you can. I think this works in our favor to get this thing tossed. Some key states here need to file suit as well.

New BATF ruling on stabilizing braces today

The states that don’t allow SBRs include Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin.

New BATF ruling on stabilizing braces today

If I can apply for form 1 - keep and use my renamed SBR / formerly pistol, and use simple proof of application as justification, then this isn’t a public safety issue.
