      Garand safe Deer cartridge?

      Any one know of a Garand safe 30’06 hunting cartridge? Most of the commercial stuff is too hot. I’m not a hand loader but would like to freezer a deer next year with my Dad’s Garand.

      Looking for hunting permission in Central Indiana...within an hour of 465. Could just be myself along with my children...11 year old son, 9 year old daughter. Long time hunter. We are originally from up north, and it’s hard to get them involved when it’s a 2.5 to 3hr drive to the family farms...

      Havent shot on this range since my last class with Pat, but for those of you from out of town....Range is close off I65. All grass surface unless that has changed recently. Range is right behind jail. Subway might be closest eats, but a lot is accessible near 65. Lots of hotel options inside...

      Might be looking for a new bank

      Plus 100 on credit unions. We moved from Chase to Elements Financial (credit union, used to be Eli Lily Federal Credit Union..but anyone can join) a few years back. We love it. If you are in Indy metro I highly recommend.

      Carbine VS. Mid-length

      Assuming you go with a traditional front sight gas block, the rail is typically only 7" on a carbine and its usually 9" on a middle. The midlength system will have more room for light, vertical fore grip, etc. That may, or may not, be important to you...but I'm a large frame guy with long...
