I go to this particular store quite often. I only live a mile away from it. I had not heard about the robbery until a couple days after. My wife asked me what would I have done if we had been in that store at the time. My first comment back to her: "Holy Crap...three against one?". The only...
I have tried several different IWB holsters and I just could not get used to the wad of gun/holster stuffed into my pants. That is until I bought a kydex appendix holster. I can now comfortably carry my P220 or my PPQ. I normally wear camp shirts so there is absolutely no printing.
I also carry a BHP cocked and locked. As long as you have a quality holster that covers the trigger, you are as safe as anything else. Most pistols with ambi safeties have the possibility of having the safety knocked off by bumping a door jamb or sitting a certain way in a chair. The first time...
I have tried doing yard work with an M&P 9c in the cargo pocket. With all the flopping around while walking, it was quickly placed in the front regular pocket where it rested quite comfortably. It did print a very impressive bulge though!
Thanks for all the kind words! As someone pointed out, Cerakoting wasn't the only change made to the pistol. Besides adding the obvious factory FDE Combat grips, I did swap out the original trigger with a short reach version.
IMG code added, thanks for the tip!
Last year, I had been thinking about getting a .45acp. I hadn't owned a .45 in over 20 years, and the last one I had was a Colt Series 70 1911. While looking for a 1911, I stumbled across a used Sig P220 at what I thought was a decent price. Not knowing much about Sigs, I did a little research...
I picked up a nice used P220R with fresh night sights last year for $500 on GB. I hadn't owned a .45 for close to 30 yrs, so I was a little startled to see the going price of ammo. Thinking I was going to save a little ammo money, I purchased a 22lr conversion. I have saved a lot of money...
After owning quite a few 1911's and always admiring the BHP, my wife presented me with this 1995 Practical three Christmas's ago. I carry it everyday. Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/IMG]
Concord Mall in Elkhart. Younger fella with a long T-shirt, trying to CC but his shirt had rode up so far that the rubber grips of the revolver and the nylon holster were fully exposed.
I got a great deal on a 22/45 without the removable grips. Since I had a brand new Dremel tool that needed trying out, I dove in. Granted, my end result doesn't look near as nice as the above photo, but as long as you have a set of grips on, you would never know. I put Hogue wrap around w/finger...
