High Standard 18-7 Shotgun.
Can someone tell me about this shotgun. I've done some research and this is what I've found out. It's a High Standard Riot model 18-7RS K-120 in 12g. I think it was made in 1969. The markings makes me believe is was a police department trade in. The finish looks original, but I haven't seen one... -

Home defense shotgun suggestions??
Mossberg or Remington. If you have to have a pistol grip, than Remington. Mossberg's safety isn't very ergonomic with a pistol grip. -
Thoughts on weapons lights?
I carry a wml. If nothing else the extra weight on the end of the frame helps with recoil.- bullet

Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical.
It's completely stock. I have a 930 spx also. I was thinking about putting the complete Oregon reliability kit in it. It does ok, but has trouble with low brass. -

I love this shotgun. It's a very good bargain in the tactical shotgun world. But cleaning it is somewhat of a pain. There are alot of parts. I'll admit that first few times was nerve wrecking. Now it's not so bad. -

Best scope from the 90's.
I'm looking to go a different direction with my old 90's Wilson AR. I want to put time correct stuff on it. Starting with a good scope in the 90's time Era. Can someone recommend one for me. I want big power as this is a target gun only. -
Are red dots reliable?
My Vortex has held zero just fine on my 50bmg. But it wasn't cheap and I've not shot it much. -

Most people don't shoot 50bmg past 300yds anyway....
If people only brought 50 Bmg for super long ranges than the makers of 50's be out of business imo. I have a scope, but on top of that I have a Viper red dot on my 107a1 for up close watermelons. -
Really? A .50 BMG handgun?
I'd shoot it. I would be more worried about the percussion out of such a short barrel. My Barrett with a 29 and a 20 is like a slap in the face. A shorter barrel would be crazy.
