Big fan of BLO here. I slather that stuff on everything and I've never been upset. Ive also thinned it out a bit before and used it. I just used a splash of thinner.
I'm in the market for a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 223. I'm only interested in the model that takes AR mags. I'm about an hour and a half north of Indy. Thanks.
I've tinkered with 3, the two from kits were on Coonan receivers. If you have the tools it's not too bad of an assembly. The barrels weren't bad at all. I may have used a small shim but can't remember. I had to slightly adjust the ejector cutout on the barrel as it wasn't clocked correctly...
I carry my LCP if I need to pocket carry. I bought it when it was first released. Miserable sights, minimal as can be, but I still like it. Goes bang every time and is accurate enough for what it is.
I have a glock 43 on my mind, but I don't think it'll replace the LCP. While likely better at...
Soon retiring the CRKT M16 in favor of a CIVIVI Elementum. Also picked up a CQC-11K because Emerson Wave... Always wanted one, and thats about the only way I can try one before dropping big dough!
I have up for sale/trade an XDS 45. I bought this immediately after they were released and I loved it! I still love it actually, however I'm making an attempt to tidy up/standardize. When gun was released, it had a recall shortly after. Can't remember what it was, but it wasn't an issue for...
I went with the AR500 Testudo package and i'm pretty impressed. Its heavy, but honestly not any heavier than I expected. I don't wear it every day, so the perceived cost savings was worth it. I cant remember what I paid, but they had a pretty killer sale at the time. Not LEO/MIL, my purpose...
I'm looking for an akm 7.62 bolt and carrier, and a draco-type gas block/front sight block. I would prefer surplus over US-made, but would consider anything.
If you have any front trunnions, RSB, GB floating around you're looking to sell, I might be interested in those too. Thanks!
I used to buy 550 a week of federal bulk box. I quit because, well, it got just silly looking. Then I bought my first 22 can, shot through 90% of it, then it jumped in price/became unobtainable. That's where I'm sitting! Bring on the cheap stuff!
Before my first NFA purchase, I paced around a while thinking. The paperwork, though not hard, was intimidating. It was also just one more "thing" to sorta complicate your life (moving, traveling, etc).
After the first, it was a slippery slope....... :)
I haven't been huge into knives in the past. I've got a CRKT M16 blade I carry religiously, and its done well for me. For some reason I've found it easier to justify guns than knives, IDK why... I use my knife quite a bit, and I don't generally lose things, so it might be time for an upgrade...
The 4 makes more sense, but the 5 seems like such a beast im more interested in it. In reality I'd have a hard time using a 100$+ knife as a hard-duty anything unless I really had to. I'll probably opt for the 4 first when the time comes.
Do a build thread! I'm part way through building a kit. It's come to a screeching halt due life with a one year old... I'm just about done with my 80% RSP, just need to counter sinking some rivet holes and I should be good to start assembling. I have cold feet on doing the hot steel rivets...
